Great vibe

Stopped by Hush on a stroll through Fremantle. Good buzz and delicious aromas. I sat upstairs and enjoyed the view along with my coffee and raw tahini slice .

Coffee break

Hush cafe is another great spot to grab a coffee when in Fremantle. Hush is a funky little cafe which serves up a high standard coffee with rich flavours and good texture. The baked goods were delicious and all were served with a smile.

One of many good cafes in Fremantle and a pretty good atmosphere here. The food is ok so give it a go

We went based on the previous reviews but the coffee was very ordinary and not much choice, and the food choice, presentation and taste was poor. I had the Chicken Caesar salad. Serving size was very small (think 3 small cos lettuce leaves) and they were swimming in a greasy non-descript dressing. My 1 halved cherry tomato was buried in the lettuce, and the whole lot was going limp from hot chicken turfed on top. The chicken was tough and dry. We thought to rescue the experience by having a cake and coffee afterwards but was put off by the cakes left on the counter cover by a small sheet of rigid plastic. We sat downstairs which was a mistake as the constant use of the blender drowns out conversation. A disappointing experience.

Anything but hush

I have been several tiems here before, but by myself. This time my wife and I went on Sunday afternoon and ordered 2 coffees and a slice. The coffee came out and was very average, and not up to the usual standard. In addition, there was very loud rap music which is something of an acquired taste, but if you don't like it, it was awful. Finally, the slice was like the second coming. It hadn't turned up and my wife went and asked and the staff had clearly forgotten. By the time we had finalised our coffees and waited some more, nothing had happened and I went up and inquired. At that stage the staff had not completely forgotten again.

Great Breakfast

After an early morning swim at Bathers beach we need some breakfast and stumbled upon Hush cafe just up from the beach in High St. Service, coffee and breakfast were excellent surrounded by the beautifil architecture of High St.

Good coffee, friendly staff

Crowded in the morning but service was quick. Coffee was nice. The pumpkin muffin was delicious. Nice and simple decoration. Recommend.

Really bad coffee

3 extra hot lattes yesterday. I asked the girl if they were strong. She gave me an informed answer that it was all measured and the “ratio” was right and it wouldn’t need an extra shot for the cup size. I thought she must know what she is talking about. Anyway, it turns out ratios, temperature were all wrong. 2 of us couldn’t even drink the coffee. $12 wasted !

Chilled out coffee house with great banana bread and tasty breakfast

My wife and I stumbled on this place in a two night stay in Freemantle it’s right on high Street and Packenham. It was our first breakfast back in Australia and it was lovely We had fresh banana bread lightly toasted two eggs and bacon on toast and two cappuccinos. It was plenty for two people and under 30 bucks. One of the things I love about it is they open at 6:30 in the morning and the Early rising locals like to go there.

Disappointing.

We had been here several times for coffee and cake and enjoyed it, so thought we'd have lunch today. Two of us ordered sweet potato rostis with poached egg and beetroot chutney. What came out was very confronting. Two small round black things which in no way resembled rostis. We were told they were that colour because they were sealed twice. Hmm. Needless to say we went elsewhere. To give them credit they refunded the cost. Bouquets to the caring waitress. Brickbats to the chef (?)

Groovy little place

A great little spot to stop for a coffee which is quite hip and offers a nice range of light lunches and desserts. We liked it.

Not sure about the hype....

I'd heard about Hush and decided to try it for breakfast. Very happy that at 1pm we could still get the breakfast menu which is what we were craving! My teenage daughter had the charcoal waffles which looked amazing - beautiful presentation and she said they tasted delicious! I opted for poached eggs on sourdough bread. For $11 the price wasn't super expensive but the slices of toast were small and the poached eggs a little over-cooked. It was plated up in a very average fashion - no extra special love went into it looking appetising! I did like the little micro-herbs and extra dash of salt which added to the taste. Interesting and very 'Fremantle' vibe at the place which was positive, but I think there are probably other places to explore which may be better!

Best almond lattés

Amazing almond lattés! Nice upstairs seating area with comfy sofas. Beautiful latte art :). Definitely our favorite cafe in Fremantle.
