This restaurant has a very inviting corner plot with booth tables, round tables and bar top tables close to the open kitchen where you can see food prep. The staff were very attentive throughout. We were promptly seated and within minutes we were obliged with one of their inhouse apperitivos by the bartender. Nice touch! The menu was certainly creative upon reading but more incredible by taste! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you love time prepared & artfully skilled cuisine. We chose the market fresh fish of the day & a lamb shank dish. The char grilled carrots & vegetables were delicious with flavours we hadn’t had before……the deserts were equally creative….,baked custard with madeira spiced plums!
Overall and importantly we observed the team working harmoniously all on their dutiful tasks spent thoroughly cleaning down after a day of service. Impressive to watch! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue!

We had an amazing experience at Cassia last night. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the wagyu beef, and the service was top-notch. Our waiter was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening.

The staff were absolutely amazing.. we came for a Sunday lunch & truly appreciated the time that was spent explaining the menu, exploring the wine list & providing a fantastic playlist which enhanced our visit (& not drowned it out)..
We were guided by the team in regards to food & wines & were blown away by the fresh & tasty choices.. have to mention the salmon caviar, asparagus, chicken, beef tartare… then the desserts of Baked custard & Rhubarb crumble… everything was delicious… a special thanks to Mitch who was kind enough to spend time with us … enhanced our experience.. we will be spreading the word about this Freo gem!

Firstly have today food was amazing. It was the experience that lacked finesse. And plastic flowers over dead plants wasn’t the best look for an otherwise great interior. 2 hour booking. Waitress took our course orders separately- first mistake. Our main meals took 1 hour to arrive. We were at the 2 hr marking the end of our booking window, however our waitress took our dessert order and an order for an additional bottle of wine so we thought all was OK time wise. then after 10 minutes the floor manager arrived with the EFT machine and said “we’ve cancelled your dessert order because you are over your 2 hour booking and have to leave now.”
She also advised they would take $100 off our bill. We sculled our drinks, paid and went elsewhere for dessert. Suggest putting all course orders in at once to avoid delays…. As if over 2 hour minimum you may be ejected. Totally understand this, as other patrons waiting- just would have liked a “heads up” when we had our mains as perhaps wouldn’t have ordered desserts or ordered the extra drinks! and hopefully in future a more timely delivery of main meals to make it all work.
