$12 steak sandwich with chips and onion rings... you can't say more. Just beyond good value. Bacon and egg in it as standard, so wow. It may be going up to $14, but seriously, getting a steak sandwich with chips and onion rings and bacon...and egg for $14 is just unheard of these days. It tasted amazing as well, so there isn't a way to fault it in any way...More

We are traveling back home from vacation and we stopped at Waffle House and was greeted with a big smile and warm hello by Jayden. He was very friendly, great sense of humor and very attentive to us. We asked for suggestions and we ordered...what he suggested. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with Jaylen. He was warm, friendly, and was very customer service oriented and over all great guy! Also a shout out to the cooks! The best food ever at any of the Waffle Houses we've ever been to!!!! When we come through here again we will definitely be stopping at this Waffle House! Thank you Jayden & cooks😃More

Booked a table for 16 downstairs as some of our party were disabled. SSAH were very accommodating. They set up the tables beautifully, we were all served at the same time and everyone was very happy with their meal . Thank you to our waitress...Emily and South Street ale house.More

A group of five in the restaurant, situated upstairs, each with a different main dish and no one was disappointed. Tasty, well prepared and served, generous sizes and overall good value. The waiter was very friendly and answered any question put to him about the...food - one of the guests was gluten free. Specials are offered throughout the week and is well worth a visit.More

First thing waiter served calamari starter spilt half on table but then used his hands to pick up and put back on plate and pushed it towards us. . We asked for fresh one. Other starters served then told one choice not available, we should...have been told before other starters came. Steak was not good and i had asked for sauce on side but it was chucked all over the steak. Other meals all looked like they had literally been chucked on the plate, two same meals supposed to have peas, one with peas on side, the other was just a mishmash jumbled together. We ordered two gin and tonics, they tasted weird, told barman he said ‘oh yeah i made a mistake and gave u tequila as its next to the gin’. But still gave it to us? Will not be revisiting. I’m fairly easy going and mild mannered and can understand off days, but this was not good food or service.More

My son and I went to this bar primarily for a game of pool, which we succeeded in doing after a bit of a wait. It is a nice pub with friendly staff and, while waiting for a free pool table, we decided to have...something to eat. My son had bangers and mash, which he said was good, and I had the BLT sandwich, which was also good and both dishes were very reasonably priced.More

A local pub with great food at great prices. There's a restaurant upstairs if you want privacy -nothing special about it but the food is honestly good value at an affordable price.Italian and fish dishes and lovely steaks. Downstairs a typical Aussie pub and you can...eat with a beer down here. The steak sandwich with chips at $10 is a bargain and will fill you up. There's usually karaoke at the weekends and the bar service make a genuine effort to engage and keep their customers happy. Couple of pool tables too and TVs to watch sport.Beers are sometimes discounted during footy games.More

Strange pub this we called in for a beer on a saturday afternoon, we walked in the door and all heads turned towards us, we were watched all the way to our seats, Went up to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks, bloody...expensive too 12 bucks for a pint and 5 bucks for a coke, Barman friendly enough but I got the impression that is a locals pub and if yer not local be careful, did'nt try the food and left asap.More

We used an Entertainment Book voucher for our meal. The steaks ordered were cooked to perfection and meal size was generous with chips and mushroom gravy. Ordered a garden salad and coleslaw to compliment meal. Lemon, lime and bitters drink was one of the best...I have had. Generous size glass mug. Menu was extensive and many daily specials available at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.More

Arrived with a groupon voucher which costs $5 more than the Friday special offered by the venue but includes a glass of wine each. The waitress who was very pleasant commented, "a lot of groupon customers come in thinking they’re getting wine with the deal...but we don’t actually provide wine with it”. I explained that the deal clearly states that it does include a glass of wine - so that’s what we were also expecting. I asked her to pull it up on her screen and she concurred that we were right, saying she'd get the owner. That’s when the evening was ruined. The owner explained that he's been in the business for many years so there’s no point in our trying to argue with him. I explained that since many customers had believed wine to be included, perhaps he had got it wrong. He said he didn't like my attitude and claimed that groupon had made it all up with their clever wording ‘sip on a glass of wine’ under the voucher highlights which doesn’t mean HE supplies the wine! We should have walked out but instead agreed to order the venue's own Friday special (without wine). While waiting for the food, the owner phoned groupon asking them to change the heading to 'add wine $10' and then came swaggering back to our table to invite us to ‘come and have a look’ at his computer where he could show it doesn’t say anything about wine being included. We couldn't believe he would actually change the terms of the voucher while the customer is sitting in the restaurant! All those years in the business but this character still hasn't learned that customer is king. Food was OK, other staff very pleasant and apologetic. Groupon happily credited our account. Would never return.More

Ate here last week with family and really enjoyed it. We shared the seafood platter, which was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and my wife really enjoyed her pasta. The staff were engaging, friendly and accommodating. The venue is really nice. The atmosphere was...very good except for some other patrons who were extremely rude. I was impressed by the manager who stayed calm despite them making one staff member cry and behaving appallingly. Felt I needed to share my positive experience after seeing these other patrons had left a false bad review!More
