Fantastic selection of great breakfast meals. It is allowed to smoke on the terrace what is so uniqe in Budapest, so it is a perfect location to organize meetings.

In all sincerity, I did not particularly enjoy the dinner. The white wine was room temperature, therefore was not really enjoyable. The main courses sounded great on the menu, but the reality was quite disappointing. The chicken was undercooked, the rice seemed to have been...cooked for a long time and just reheated, and the vegetable component wasn’t as present as described on the menu. The soufflé as dessert had a nice combination of flavors all around the actual pot of the soufflé, which was sadly dry and felt old. Overall, I didn’t have the experience that I was expecting coming into the restaurant. The menu is overpriced for the actual quality offered.More

We set there for 15 minutes with my colleague, after at least 8 waiters looked at us, then looked the other way, than we decided we leave.

MOM Park is a plaza in Buda, in an expensive and pretentious area of the city. Leroy Bistro has a pleasant enough environment, but the menu is rather overpriced for the simple fare offered. Service is OK.

This wasnt the first time we had lunch here with my family, it didnt disappoint again! We started with changing our table, we only had 1 choice when we arrived and later we spotted a better one, staff was really helpful with that. As a...starter we always have the aubergine dip with veggies and pita bread, delicious! All our main meals were great, service was excellent. Its a beautiful restaurant, not cheap but most of the food and drink worth the price. I would recommend to talk to the staff if you have any issues as they are really helpful to make it right if something is wrong. Also some of the reviews complain about the service charge, its not their choice...this is how they have to do it in Hungary...More

I am visiting Mom Leroy quite frequently with friends and colleagues as well due to I am working close to it. I have to say the restaurant is excellent in every part of the day - nice offer of tasty breakfast; varied and plentiful lunch...on acceptable price and excellent menu - best fresh sushi in town and perfect steaks! My partner has couple of food intolerance, but they always take care about us from this point also the stuff is really nice and helpful. And the evening programs are also fun here :)More

When I made my reservation for dinner on Dec 2, 2018 at the Leroy Bistro, I sort of knew what I was getting into. I could see from the menu that the food and drink prices were rather high, even for Budapest, and I simply...chose to accept that, because the restaurant was located virtually across the street from where I was attending a music performance right after dinner. Call it a convenience fee. Being a Sunday evening, and an early dinner time, too, the restaurant was not crowded when we entered. I had made a reservation online, but it was obvious it was unnecessary that evening. We had our choice of table and chose the section the waiter suggested would be warmer. Service was friendly and prompt and my wife and I ordered in a combination of English and Hungarian. There are basically two menus offering an eclectic mix of Hungarian, Italian and Asian dishes, the standard menu and the sushi menu, which also contains some other Asian-style dishes. We chose to order from the latter, starting with salmon, sea bass and tuna nigiri for both of us and then a couple of Asian-style noodle dishes, the fried noodles with coconut curry, vegetables and chicken breast and the curry udon (Japanese udon noodles with red curry, soy beans, vegetables, crushed peanuts and cilantro). I’m always a little reluctant to order sushi from a non-Asian restaurant anywhere, and especially in Budapest, but over all the sushi was OK. The salmon was clearly the best, tasting very fresh. The rice also seemed relatively well prepared. The sea bass felt like it had dried out a bit, perhaps mine was the end piece, but the taste and smell were fine. The tuna was clearly inferior, and I would not recommend ordering it. It did not appear to me to be sushi-grade tuna, but in any case, it had a distinctly fishy taste. It was also the highest price of the three. Note: I am writing this the next day and can say I had no ill effects from the tuna. We both enjoyed out noodle dishes. The tastes were very pleasant, and the curry udon dish had a nice mild spicy burn to it. These are probably not dishes you’d find in any authentic Asian restaurant, but I wasn’t expecting that and they were good. Although the coconut curry version was billed as having fried noodles, mine came with regular udon, which was perfectly fine, and I didn’t even inquire about it. But I was a little disappointed there weren’t more vegetables beyond some shredded carrot and something else equally innocuous. No broccoli or any kind of Asian vegetables I could discern. The curry udon dish my wife had did have broccoli, perhaps because she ordered the version with vegetables but no meat. For dessert we both had the “brownie” with vanilla ice cream. These were disappointing, but not entirely unexpectedly so. In fact, I even told my wife the brownie would probably be more like chocolate cake than a real brownie, and sure enough, that’s what it was. This is not uncommon in Hungary. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t a brownie, which should have a dark chocolate taste and chewiness. These were only medium brown with a very light chocolate taste and very cakey in texture. The ice was just ok, not of particularly high quality (didn’t Woody Allen once say that ice cream was like sex in that even when it was bad, it was still pretty good?). With the addition of one 4-deciliter glass of ordinary beer, one 1.5-deciliter glass of merlot wine and one pretty good espresso, the bill for the meal came to 15,710 forints. With the mandatory 12.5% service charge -- how much of that the waiter sees is unknown -- that came to a grand total of 17,675 forints, which hit my Visa card as $61.82 (ALWAYS chose to be charged in the local currency, when asked). That’s a lot for any meal in Budapest, much less for one where the quality was only average. This was not fine dining. You can get meals in Budapest at much higher quality restaurants for this or less. And so, the value here is quite low. I don’t know why the prices are so high here. Perhaps it’s because of high rents in the MOM Park facility. Or maybe it’s because in this area you have offices for some well-known multinational corporations who don’t care about these prices. Or maybe it’s that there really aren’t too many other restaurants in this area. Probably it’s a combination of all the above. Would I go back to Leroy Bistro or recommend it to others? Perhaps, but only with eyes wide open, full disclosure and calibrated expectations. There is also a version of Leroy Bistro at the Budapest airport, but the reviews I've seen on Google of that operation would make me think twice about eating there.More

I am not a big fan of this restaurant chain as there other restaurants in Arena and Allee shopping malls are extremely poor when it comes to service. But the location in Mom park is absolutely great, very nice food, absolutely perfect and lovely service,...nice atmosphere. They are also ready to serve kids and have fun for the little ones as well while waiting for the food. So really recommend and for sure we will return soon again. Could be one of my new favorites?More

Service was extremely slow. Waiter forgot my bread and served it after asking it twice and finished the course. He seemed very sad and unfocused. Quantity of the food was a joke, my cats eat more than that. Half of my asparagus was rare. Prices...are high. There were no sunbrellas on the terrace on a very hot and sunny day. I have never seen such a terribly led restaurant in Hungary. I will never visit that again.More
