I cook a lot of British Indian Restaurant curries at home and this restaurant is by far the best in Krakow. We have had 4 takeaway meals so quite a few different dishes and every one was first class. The breads are superb and we had one dish cooked for us which was off menu and they we happy to oblige when we explained what it was. Dont bother looking around as if you want an authentic Indian this is the place to go.

This is by far the best Indian food I've had in Krakow ( much less the rest of Europe) .......and Indian restaurants are popping up like mushrooms all over the city these days.. That the place is obviously very popular with the Asian expats must mean something.. Other restaurants in town would be lucky to have a server like Raju who kept a professional eye on the table and the food and drinks flowing..We tried a number of dishes and all of them hit the mark.. The Nepalese momos, both vegetraian and chicken were especially big hits...Best regards to the kitchen and staff for a great and affordable meal in a town that is increasingly becoming more and more expensive when it comes to dining out..

Nice clean establishment friendly staff. Order starters good portions bahjis and mixed kebab. Two curries nan bread and chips. Good lumps of chicken in curries big plate of fries rice and bread excellent. The price of food in this place is a bargain we just had water with our meal and it came to approx £21...Curries where excellent.

We as a group of friends visited this place. Being an Indian, I found the taste of food to be very authentic. The service was good and the menu was quite diverse. I highly recommend this place for Indian travelers and visitors to Krakow to enjoy home-like food.

Excellent curry, one of the best I’ve ever had! Felt wrong going for a curry on our first night in krakow but we could smell the spices and after a long day travelling we were drawn to it. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful and advised their strength is on a 1-6 scale and recommended the strength advised for our curries. So pleased I did, I had the gate of India special and the balance of spice and sweetness was perfect.

I had a very good meal here. Service was good and the food excellent. The menu had a good selection of Indian food and the chef was happy to vary the heat according to taste. I’d definitely go again

Highly recommended. Real taste of Indian food in the heart of Krakow.
Must try!!!
Staff is very polite, spoke English, Polish and Hindi
My personal recommendation- Lamb Balti with Garlic Naan

It's a great place to eat with decent food and nice and warm welcome. We did not want to be in the middle of crowded Krakow - and found this place, where we sat outside in the shadow and calm.
Food came quick, authentic Indian and sufficient for everybody at a really good price. Even my kids - that don't know Indian - liked it a lot :o))
Overall all highly recommended if you want to go for Indian!

From start to finish, service, food, ambiance amazing. Young girl who served us was more than helpful , even chatted about India where she was from. Lovely young lady.
Starter came and oh my goodness was huge, saved half to take home. Was delicious authentic in taste. The main came and again all 10/10 in taste and huge amounts. We have taken half away with us and will have for supper.

So happy to be back here in person after the lockdown. The best service, and the most amazing food and tastes and variety for us. I usually go for the chicken balti and you can choose the spicy level 1 to 5. I love their vegetable samosas too, and mango lassi

This was the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The menu contained some familiar dishes from the UK, but also some different choices. We shared chicken jalfreizi, tarka dhal, aloo tikki, garlic naan and pilau rice. There was loads. On ordering we were asked what level of heat we wanted on a scale of 1-6, 1 being very mild. I went with 4. This was, for me, the perfect amount of heat, without compromising the delicious spices. Each dish was sublime, my favourite being the tarka daal. We each had a beer with our meal and we're amazed at how cheap our bill was. Amazing food.

Gate of India was ideally located a few doors along from our accommodation at the Stradonia Apartments. After a long day of walking we wanted somewhere close by to eat and we were glad we stopped here.
There was a large offering of starters and main courses along with a large variety of rice and breads on the menu. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Some of the best Indian food we have ever had.
If you are looking for tasty Indian food at great prices visit Gate of India. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent food. Paneer was like a soft cloud it just melted on the tongue.
Tikka Masala, a choice of how hot you would like it served arrived as requested.
Empty dishes.
Staff very pleasant approachable and charming.
Definitely a must when you next visit Krakow.
Restaurant clean with pleasant music very relaxing ambience.
Was quite busy when arrived and more people entering with families and couples alike.

Great location. On the edge of the city square. Plenty of tram routes to and from.
Food was served quickly and was delicious with the portions being plentiful. Would definitely recommend to any visitors to krakow. Rana was polite, helpful and very pleasant to deal with throughout. Thank you to rana for fantastic customer service and serving us delicious food

We had a lovely family meal at the Gate of India. The Nepalese chef produces some wonderful dishes. The sheek kebab for starter was great, and the butter chicken a delight. The staff are very friendly and helpful with advice in the spiciness or heat you would like in your dish.
