About
Pierwszy Stopień is a polish cuisine family restaurant, filled with plants which made it feel like the green heart of Kazimierz. We take special care for our guests to feel like at home. Whilst designing our restaurant we were hoping to create a peaceful, green and cosy place for our guests. We wanted them to feel the atmosphere created by our plants and to feel relaxed. The dishes we offer are inspired by the flavours we remember from our childhood homes. We use regional products bought at the local market. We want our guests to taste the cuisine we remember from our childhood, whilst enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and great music.

Ate here after trying a few others along the way,it was recommended to us by another restaurant that was fully booked.
The inside is quirky and cozy with greenery hanging from the ceiling and plants on each table.
Food was really tasty and so cheap compared to the UK,we both had 3 courses, a carafe of red wine,an espresso and a sparkling wine,we were shocked at how reasonable it was for such a great meal.
Pay it a visit as you won't be disappointed.

when we first saw the restaurant, we immedialety caught an eye on the beautiful decoration with many plants and lights. It's a hip restaurant, and they obviously took a great care in designing the room welcoming. And we did feel welcomed there. The food was delicious and our service, Magda, was very sweet and attentive. Location, decoration and the friendly service create a loving athmosphere. We also loved the many vegetarian and vegan options. We would totally go there again! Definetly worth a visit.

beautiful restaurant. beautiful food. beautiful wine. very attentive staff. Anna was great!
food was well priced. we paid £50 for 2 people that included a liter of wine a cocktail and 3 course meal each.
would have been nice to be able to tip Anna on the card as we had ran out of cash so had to nip out to get cash for her.

Excellent food. You will find good traditional food but also modern options and inventive vegan options too which are better than anything I have ever tasted (especially the vegan soup). They also serve unique cocktails. The service was very attentive and deserved a big tip, which are only allowed in cash, so make sure you have some with you. Ania in particular was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. If I am ever in Kraków again I will be back to taste some new creations in this creative restaurant!

Popped in for food had amazing flavour there were 4 of us we all had beer and cocktails with our food the portions were huge and tasted amazing and also very cheap I was very surprised by the price. And the service from our waitress ula was amazing very polite and help always made sure we had everything we needed with no waiting around. Highly recommend.

This our first food stop in Krakow and boy was it a good one. On entry the staff were super friendly. Our main waitress was named Justyna and she was very attentive and provided excellent recommendations. The restaurant is very well laid out and very attractive. There is a good selection of dishes for all dietary needs on the menu and affordable prices. We shared goose pierogi for starters which was absolutely fantastic! Maybe one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had. The sauce was incredible. For main, my wife went for the burger and I went for the roast pork dish which was on the autumn menu. We liked it how she asked how my wife would like the burger cooked which is not normal as burgers often come over cooked. My wife really enjoyed her burger and the chips were also really nice. The bun held itself together well and the meat was very flavoursome. It came with a tomato mayo which was delicious. My pork dish was also fantastic. It came with tasty veggies and the pork was amazingly cooked. We also got a tea (can’t remember the name of it) which was very unique in flavour but we loved it! We ate out several times during our 4 day stay in Krakow and some tasty meals but this place was our absolute favourite. Top to bottom this restaurant was perfect!

Pierwszy Stopien serves Delicious food, has a superb relaxing atmosphere and offers excellent service . Highly recommend the home-made dumplings, white mulled wine , vegetarian options , chicken on skewer. We wanted to try everything on the menu as the food served at the other tables looked also so delicious and were eaten to the plates were clean 😋❤️
This is a MUST VISIT Restaurant if you only have 1 choice please support this business. Fantastic decor and chilled atmosphere due to the wonderful music playing in the background. It is ideal for friends meeting for lunch or a romantic evening .

I'm absolutely in awe with the indoors and the menu of this place. Great food, delicious and unusual drinks (ordering a "Purple bouquet" was an experience on its own), and exceptional service. I loved chèvre chaud with beetroot and fried oyster mushrooms, we were also offered some vegan lard with local bread and pickles, delicious! We will be coming back to this place again. Big thank you to Magda who was serving us that night and really made our day :)

I found this place a month ago and from the first step inside, I realised it's different from the other restaurants in Krakow. The atmosphere is very relaxed, everything, even the small details are made with a lot of love and care. Amazing service from Anna and Ola, both of them speak perfect English and will explain to you if you have any questions related to the menu because let's be honest the polish is kinda difficult for the foreigners :)
Food quality is also something for which Pierwszy stands one step in front of the others. All of the things are flavourful, and my favourite the Shashlik is just delicious.
Try it, you're not gonna regret it!

Our hotel was just over the road so this place was handy for lunch or dinner.
We found the place warm and inviting, and went in for lunch, choosing the three-course set menu. The food was plentiful and delicious and the staff were very friendly and polite. We already decided we were going to be 'regulars' here during our four-night stay!
For dinner, we enjoyed the burgers which were massive, and served with chips, coleslaw and pickles. The cocktails were also delicious; I tried an Aperol Spritz and a Mojito.
The decor, background music, ambience and atmosphere made for a very pleasant interlude, and along with the excellen food and service I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to any visitors to Kraków.

Early evening Saturday meal:
Attempted to book online but oddly this entails enquiring and then waiting for an email reponse. Booking was confirmed and we arrived at our allotted time.
They were unable to find our booking despite only making it that afternoon. After about 5 minutes of faff they found us a table.
There are 3 vegan options on the menu. 2 of them were 'unavailable' and the other, a vegan burger, turned out to have what was almost definitely dairy yoghurt in the sauce.
Service was very average. Food and menu availability poor.
Wouldnt come again.

We were recommended to eat here and it was such a good call.
I went for the wild boar that was really tasty and served on a great onion and bacon base. Wifey had roast duck which was very tender.
Very friendly welcoming staff and a great house red served in 0.5 or 1l carafes as well as by the glass.
The decor was different in a good way. Tree branches across the ceiling and some decorative funky filament light bulbs for a great atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant. Very friendly service and the table was reserved for 2 hours so not rushed. Starter of goats cheese was really nicely presented eg with edible flowers. Main of kebab was flamed at the table . My daughter had tempura oyster mushrooms which were delicious , very large portions and could not eat it all. Desert of cheesecake ( a baked New York style with fresh fruit was good) . Real highlight was polish apple pancakes with salted caramel and lots of fresh fruit , again very large portion so plenty for 2 people.
Very high quality food with excellent service and presentation. Also incredible value. Definitely 5 stars.

Amazing! The best food I’ve had in a long time, the flavours and ingredients were creative and big portion sizes for the price! Presentation was great and extra points for the pretty crockery. Must try the goats cheese starter! For mains we shared the winter pear salad which was refreshing and a great combo with the pumpkin pesto pasta which was rich and full of flavour. Will recommended to anyone visiting Krakow in future, be sure to book ahead!

The food was absolutely delicious. We had goose dumplings and chicken shashlik. Location is superlative, next to the heart of Kazimierz (Jewish) district.
The atmosphere was so relaxing.. and all the staff very professional. We’ve been served by Patrick who recommended us some typical dishes and was really kind and polite. Thank you for the amazing dinner!
