After several days of heavier Eastern European fare (although it was all good) we were looking for something a little lighter for dinner. Our hotel recommended La Veranda and very glad they did. It was a short walk from our hotel and near the Spanish...More

We went to dinner with friends before the start of a tour in Prague. The food was fantastic! Much better than any of the food we had in Old Town. If you are tired of goulash and potatoes this is the place to go. I...More

La Veranda is tucked down a side street in the Jewish quarter but it is worth seeking out as the cooking is excellent and service faultless. The style is modern European and all dishes are executed with considerable skill. Desserts were equally outstanding and there...More

Walking into this lovely small restaurant hidden behind a shuttered church one is immediately comfortable in the pleasant surrounds of the casually elegant dining room. Waitstaff is young, friendly, English speaking and knowledgeable. We asked for a good local red wine and after understanding our...More

We came across this like gem, while wandering around the city - not drowning in tourists it was just a delight. Recommendations from the English speaking wait staff were well received and cleverly crafted.

A quiet restaurant to enjoy a light lunch. We had a tuna tartar and a beef tatar. Both dishes were well prepared and beautiful presented. The waiters were polite and charming. The ambience is colourful and relaxed. I loved La Veranda

I'm so glad I came here upon recommendation! I ordered the lunch special of pumpkin risotto and it was a work of art. The staff were super-friendly and the chairs were comfy.

Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small
neighborhood centered around Široká street is
completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As
the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a
few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish
cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small
enough that a person could touch the houses on both
sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this
