Came for the brunch buffet, and we were not disappointed. Food was upper scale, par for the location but not necessarily expected when going to an “all you can eat” Everything was incredible and plentiful. Sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, meats and sweets and even a dessert table that featured a huge variety of mini desserts. Everything was so tasty, paired with the most beautiful view. Such an experience.

Our dinning experience at the High West Distillery’s Thursday night supper club was the highlight of our stay in Park City. From the moment we arrived it was evident that the level of service was top notch. We were shuttled to the top of the Mountain by Bill, who gave us a brief history of the area and distillery. When we arrived we were greeted and sat close to the live music being played by a duo of string instrument musicians. The meal was served family style and the portions were very generous. The prix fixe menu changes each week and we were surprised that we visited on the evening when they served Peruvian food considering that is where my mom’s family resides. The salad, rolls, roasted duck, beef, and veggies were absolutely delicious and the custard dessert was good although not our personal preference. The ambiance and setting was out of this world with majestic views from the restaurant. The architectural design of the building and landscaping made it feel contemporary and yet rustic. My wife mentioned how they were intentional with every detail of the building’s design including the impressive ladies room. We enjoyed a few cocktails, the old fashioned and old man’s boots (whiskey/tequila/ginger beer)were our favorites. To top off the night our amazing waiter Bobby discussed bourbon with me and was able to find a special pour from behind the bar since we were celebrating our anniversary. We visited a lot of the high end restaurants in Park City and this dining experience was head and shoulders above the rest.

SHOUT OUT TO CYNTHIA AND VANESSA! We came in as a last min tour plan without reservations. Cyhtnia with Vanessa were able to get us into a tour approx 5 min late and we enjoyed the tour and education. Thank you so much for adding more to just stopping in for a BIG Mid Winters Night Dram pick up!

I really wanted to like this. High West has for years been one of my favorite whiskey makers in the west. I visited several distilleries on my road trip though the west and this was unquestionably my most disappointing experience. First, the good. The distillery facility and location are beautiful. The shuttle driver from the parking lot to the distillery facility was great and told interesting stories. The whiskey is excellent!! Now the bad. The distillery experience in not about the whiskey. I had been hoping for a guided whiskey tasting of unique offerings available only at the distillery. Instead, I got seated by myself at a table in the bar and an impersonal, bougie, boutique resort experience and was largely on my own to figure things out. Some people might really enjoy this. I saw well-heeled customers enjoying what was no doubt a delicious but expensive meal with expensive cocktails. I grew up in Aspen and still live in the Colorado mountains and was used to this sort of scene. However, I also know that this can be done much better. Breckenridge Distillery has a very similar operation with a high-end restaurant with expensive cocktails, but it is less pretentious, more charming and maintains a tasting room. I ordered a couple samples of the menu but knew nothing about what I was getting, paid $4 or much more for each 0.33oz sample, and found out at the end that only one whiskey that I samples was actually available for purchase. The whiskey purchase experience is kind of a gift shop experience after thought. Kind of sad because not only did this fall far shortly of expectations, but it has negatively affected my impression of High West. I'd always seen High West as a reasonably priced, well-crafted, unpretentious whiskey but the distillery experience does not at all align with that perception. :(

The tour (with Austin) was excellent and informative. The rest of t the experience was sub par. They make you take a shuttle even though there was plenty of parking at the distillery, and shuttles were poorly timed and a long wait. Staff in the shop were unfriendly. Views are nice but I’d skip this.

Delicious food, beautiful facility. Wednesday night Supper Club was super fun. Staff was accommodating of a food intolerance. Duck leg was the star, followed closely by the salad, grain rolls and green chili rice. Order the Rolling Fog! Our only feedback would be the noise level. The restaurant was full and we had to yell to chat with each other, which shut down conversation and enjoyment a bit - that’s never fun.

While the Distillery is a drive, it is worth it. Mr. Bill (the shuttle driver) will entertain you with facts about the Distillery/property on your way in. The property surrounding the Distillery is beautiful and definitely gives you the feeling of being 'out west.' The Distillery is impressive both in style and decor as well as with the food, beer and whiskey selections/quality. Worth the trip!

OMG! This place was awesome in every level! Our server was amazing and she provided such a fun experience for us with perfect drink recommendations and food pairings for our myriad of cocktails! The ride up the mtn and stories by Mr. Bill added to the allure of the entire day! Food was amazing! Drinks were delicious! We will definitely be back soon for another enjoyment with the HW staff!

This is a great place for lunch up in the canyon. It is very new and pristine. Its jazzy relaxed atmosphere is far away from any city and seemingly children. The tour is informative and kind of fun. The tasting is probably the best part and don't forget the gift shop. Don't forget to have a DD for the ride home with the whisky and altitude making the mountain passes difficult.

We scheduled a tour after reading about this distillery in Whisky Advocate. It is a great place. Typical in respect of making a mash etc. The restaurant after the tasting was great. There is a charge for tastings. Food was excellent. Bill , the shuttle driver tells informative info on wat up and down from lot. Worthy .

First they dont do dinner and close at 4 pm. A great place to visit and site see for sure. The shuttle ride up gives a great history on the place. Drinks tasted great but did take a while to get to the table each time order. Food was excellent but they ran out of a few menu items that we wanted. At 4 they started moving chairs outside and as we sat next to that door we got frozen every time they open it. This also made our food cool down faster. Maybe a different door could be used as to not interrupt your customers? This brought a great visit to a horrible and quick end. This review probably would have been a 5 if the menu hadnt run out and the door would have stayed closed.

What a great tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and very interesting. The walk thru the vats and apparatus was fun with lots of good discussions. You end up in a tasting room, sampling their various blends. Nearby is their gift shop and restaurant. Perched on a hill there's a good view of the valley and mountains. We'd visit again on another trip to this area..

Beware of the criminal service fee activity. They say the distillery tour is $10 each however they add untold charges for 2 people: a $4.00 service fee and $1.00 order fee to your bill and only take credit cards. I asked to pay cash so I would not have to pay these ridiculous fees… they said no. They should be criminally charged for stealing and not telling or marketing these fees in advanced. Vey disappointed with there devious behavior ….. on a positive note food was good and it was billed without service fee and order fee… go figure!!!

First, we have NO complaints...we loved every minute of our visit. Two points for first timers 1.High West Distillery is on the Blue Sky Lodge grounds and you may have to take the shuttle up. 2. A reservation on Open Table may save your day. We looked at the website, didn't see any of the above info. Learned it when we got there. However, Pilar (Hostess) was WONDERFUL! She found a table for us, and Bobby, our server was great. We got drinks. Then shared the wings. We all had a different meal, from Salad to Tartine...the food was DELICIOUS. The grounds are beautiful, and Billy, our shuttle driver, was a PLEASURE to meet.
