Great ocean view, an open & relaxed atmosphere, and a delicious pub meal. I had "Slow cooked beef cheeks " which was divine. The meat was so tender and melting in my mouth. Coming with yummy creamy mush and tasty rich wine jus. Heavenly delicious....I enjoyed every bite. My husband had " Mushroom & mascarpone cheese risotto. Nicely al dente rice and beautiful flavor. So good. And the service was excellent. We were so happy and enjoyed very much. Definitely come back again.More

This place was very disappointing. It’s essentially overpriced pub food that is mediocre at best. They claim to offer vegetarian options (a salad and a noodle salad) but when you ask about it, they just take out the chicken/calamari and not even substitute with anything...else (halloumi, tofu, etc.) They refused to even just chuck an avocado on the top. I ordered the one vegetarian main they offer, aubergine stuffed with pearl couscous and accompanied by a noodle salad (the same one from above, which constists of a bunch of noodles with 5 leaves of lettuce and 5 tiny pieces of tomato). The pearl couscous was ok, but very uninspired and lazy vegetarian dish. Service was very dependent on who was talking to you. I would not go back here. I rather go to the supermarket to get some stuff to throw together than have to spend 5x as much on mediocre food in a rather unwelcoming atmosphere.More

There weren’t too many options for dinner in Kingscoate but so glad we can across this restaurant. The food was great and the staff we excellent. In particular, Fabian made us feel really welcomed and gave us great recommendations (beef cheeks and chicken parmy). Would...definitely go back here. Some of the negative reviews on here are quiet surprising. I would suggest giving it a go before you decide otherwise :)More

Booked for family dinner- had to pre order food a day before which we did. Only booking 5:30. Comments at 5:30 on our arrival- ‘they are finally here’. Wanted to bring out immediately on our arrival as was already cooked but all of group had...not arrived. Harassed 4 times by 4 different staff about this in 10 minutes. Did not even give time to order drinks. Food cold, gravy tasteless, chips cold and schnitzel was microwaved and soggy. Noodle salad soggy. Saw staff in kitchen not using gloves while handling raw meet and wiping hands on tea towel. Poor customer service! Not an enjoyable experience at all.More

It is very busy so book ahead. Booked table with lovely outlook for dinner. We ate here 2 nights, there are not lots of eat in options in Kingscote. Staff were lovely and very busy so a slight delay in ordering and bringing drinks to...table. The food and drinks were cheerfully delivered however. The overall menu is a little dissapointing. It is more average pub food style and quality than restaurant. It is a pleasant atmosphere however and a good spot to eat in Kingscote.More

We had a booking for dinner at the Zone Restaurant and were glad we did - very busy. Staff friendly & helpful but you could see that they were run off there feet. Took a little while to have our order taken. We enjoyed kangaroo...& a burger. Food typical pub food - plenty. Only complaint was that the knives were extremely blunt - wouldn't even cut the tomato!More

Local seafood on offer, the kingfish was excellent. Good local wine at reasonable prices. The staff were great. Lots of local dining and the restaurant was virtually full.(It was a Saturday night)

We stayed in the hotel and dined in Zone restaurant for dinner. The food was very good. My husband and I travelled different places and countries and worked in luxury hotel abroad thus we love food. All of us 4 enjoyed our dinner. Highly recommended...to visit the restaurant while in KI. The view was beautiful overlooking the sea. Ordered cocktail and it's also good. Had this cocktail in different places and even home made. The staff also accommodating and friendly.More

The food was OK and we had no real complaints, but it wasn't something I would likely go back for. We ate here as most of the other places in town were closed. The restaurant had exceptional service from a lady named Kylie, but the...other staff just weren't up to her standard.
