We were looking for a place for lunch when we spotted Restaurante Loma Linda on the side of the road in Sardinal, Costa Rica. The place looked like an average cantina/restaurant so we, a party of four, were blown away when our food arrived looking as though it had come from a 5 star restaurant. All of the food tasted great and the portions were perfect. We had the ahi-tuna, mahi mahi, nachos, quesadillas, and spaghetti. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food prep time was excessive at 1 hour, fifteen minutes, but it was worth the wait as the food was absolutely fabulous.

This was our second dinner at Loma Linda and both times were wonderful. The first time we were there they were out of pulpo (octopus) but the blackened fish dishes were amazing and the tuna tartare perfect. The second outing included a tuna topped by shrimp and the sought after grilled octopus. We also enjoyed ceviche Loma Linda along with a couple chili guaros and cold cervesas. Two of the top meals we had while in Costa Rica. Don’t let the looks fool you - this place is amazing. Plus, a friendly staff who put up with our bad Spanish politely and with a smile. Yum!

This place is a gem! Our food was fantastic! We ordered the shrimp and we ordered the seafood for two. Our portion sizes were plenty and delicious. The coronarita was the best I’ve ever had! 10/10 for this cute little place!

We visited Loma Linda with the expectation of enjoying authentic Costa Rican food in a typical ranch setting, but unfortunately, the experience was not what we expected. The restaurant offers mainly fried food, quite common and with nothing to make it stand out. Not that the food is bad, but we expected something more representative of local cuisine. We were disappointed to find such a basic menu in a place that, by its looks, promised a more authentic culinary experience. Moreover, we found the prices slightly higher than we would have liked to pay, considering the simplicity of the dishes offered. In short, Loma Linda did not meet our expectations of a typical Costa Rican restaurant and left us wanting a more authentic and economical experience.

I was introduced to Loma Linda by local friends. The food and DRINKS are excellent. Great place to relax, have nice conversation and enjoy a great dining experience. It is close to LIberia, Playa del Coco, Riu Hotels and quiet. Don't miss a gem of a dining experience. The menu has a little of everything, including great ceviche.

The staff were wonderful and very attentive! The food and drinks were incredible. Perfect location far enough off the road so it wasn’t noisy.

Our tour guide recommended this place while we were in Costa Rica last week and I am still thinking about the shrimp sauce. The fish is as fresh as it comes which includes, seabass, red snapper, mahi mahi, shrimp and lobster. Whatever you decide on, you can't go wrong as long as you get the white shrimp sauce on top. This was our favorite meal in Costa Rica and wish we could have gone back here every night. The prices are great as well.

We ate here on Monday June 17th and it was great food!!! Each person in our group had a different entree!!! I had the Filet with Mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables and it was delicious!!! My husband had the tuna which he said was excellent!!! Our friends had the special of the day which was fresh sea bass!!! It is an open air restaurant which most restaurants are in Costa Rica and it was quite nice!!!! Very nice waitress!!!!

Stopped by on a whim on the way back from horse and white water tube riding. I got fried snapper, while my friends got pork. For me, the snapper was perfectly prepared. Nicely fried, not too greasy and flavorful. Dr dMy friends got the Cuban traditional with pork and they weren’t crazy about the pork. A little pricey for the location. I would still go back for the snapper.

We passed his restaurant a number of time while driving from the airport to Liberia and it always seems to be busy... a very good sign. We finally made the stop and had a very good typical Costa Rican dinner at a fair price. The owner stopped by the table and we had a conversation about him starting the restaurant and his tour guide business. We recommend the place.

Had lunch here today on a recommendation from a neighbor. Place was clean, service was friendly, prices were reasonable and the food was terrific. They make the best chifrito I have had anywhere in Costa Rico. Generous portions of chicharon. Fresh avocado and tasty fresh rice and beans. My lunch partner had one of the ceviches and really enjoyed it. The beers were cold. What’s not to like. Can’t wait to go back and try other stuff on the menu. I’m told the sopa Azteca is really good.

This typical ‘soda’ became our staple this season, although we didn’t try many different items of their menu. Every visit, I ordered a different burger (beef, fish or chicken) which came with a nice portion of unsalted fries. The chicken was my fav, juicy and fat. My husband always ordered the casado which was expertly good and well presented. Again, the chicken was great. Service is friendly but make sure you have local currency as their exchange rate one time on USD was brutal.

Loma Linda is typical restaurant that offers great food and cold beer. They also have delicious natural drinks such as the homemade lemonade with fresh mint. They have a local atmosphere so you feel like you really are in Guanacaste.

It was a great place to eat lunch. We got there about 2:00pm and it was not hugely crowded. It had a nice relaxing atmosphere, plenty of seating and great food. My husband got a local Casado dish and I ordered the buffalo wings and patacones.
