Amazing quality, they make it actually spicy for me (unlike most places) amazing VEGAN options, generous portions and are super friendly!! I moved to Auckland but this is still my favourite ever and I wait to come up here to get my fix because nowhere else is as good ^_^ thank you so much guys ~ Monnie

Service was friendly and the food very good, priced well if you are wanting a quality lunch at a reasonable price Divine is recommended.

We've gone several times and never been disappointed with their delicious food. We lived in Sandringham so had the best of Indian foods to choose from, so to find a good restaurant in Whangarei was such a pleasure :)

I went to Divine several years ago and really rated it. Today we had the lunch special takeaway, butter chicken and butter paneer. The portions were tiny and mostly 'gravy' with only a couple of pieces of chicken and paneer. The gravy had the consistency of soup not curry and it was sooooo sweet we couldn't eat it, even after adding salt, so it went down the toilet. Now I feel sick.
The person who took our order and served us needs to learn some customer service and people skills. Not at all friendly or welcoming. I was also slightly over charged from what I was told it wold be when I called the order in. If they do that to everyone it soon mounts up.
We most certainly will not be going back and certainly do not recommend it.

They probably had a bad batch or changed chef because someone else has also given a bad review today, but the butter chicken was absolutely disgusting. Milky, super sweet. I'm not a fussy eater but I had to spit it out, just disgusting. Very dissapointing. Called them and they answered "well no one else complained". I wish I had not spent 50$ there.

On my first visit to this restaurant I had their Punjabi Lamb, now I have eaten curries most of my life and this was Devine. Since then my wife regularly go back there and always start with a mixed platter then she picks or I pick to try something different. You can't beat the Lamb Punjabi.

My family & I eat here very regularly. Food is always of a good standard. The staff are always accommodating in our requests (e.g. if we want to change something in the set dishes). And the staff are knowledgeable about what is gluten free as I’m coeliac. We especially like this place as it’s one of the few Indian restaurants where my 5 year old daughter will eat her favourite dish which isn’t ‘too spicy’ for her, yet there are lots of options for us adults who want a little more spice.

We ordered a curry from here for takeaways one evening and noticed the pizza menu. It's so reasonably priced we thought we'd try it. Well, they were amazing! We won't be ordering pizza from anywhere else for a while. Such delicious flavours and the bases are perfect! Have since ordered for a extended family lunch and everyone else loved them too.

Our two dishes both lacked spices and the sauce was very uneventful. The amount of meat was a huge let down. A few pieces of chicken (approx 7 small bits) floating around in a boring sauce. Not sure if it was due to the "chef" that night, but wont be returning to see if it was - that's how disappointed I was.

By no means Haute Cuisine in it's surroundings, very basic, but clean and the food is really good. The Staff are so helpful and kind and really pleased when you enjoy your meal. Reasonably priced for a mid-week eat out.

As a Morningside resident I was lucky enough to have this restaurant on my door step a frequented the place regularly. A favourite was the mango chicken and beef vindaloo but all the dishes I encountered were fantastic. The flavours are vibrant, prices moderate and service friendly.

Have had lunch here several times, usually butter chicken which is delicious. Last week tried the Beef Masala. Absolutely awesome. Love the food here and the dine-in service is excellent.
Only drawback is lack of parking near the cafe. The cafe is usually busy anyway and carpark can be difficult to find.

We found the service and food as wonderful as when we last called early this calendar year. We enjoyed the shared entree platter followed by the Punjabi Thalli, a tried and true order consistently satisfying.
