Pizza good Soup good Lasagna was terrible - meat tasteless - ate less than 1/4 of serve - asked for says or Harvey and told no - reported to staff and advised that home made was better - no discount for bad food. Really bad.

Fantastic atmosphere, great food, attentive and friendly staff, The Forge Ballarat can stand tall amongst the really, really good casual dining places. A good extensive menu, wood-fired pizza and a decent drinks list. The charcuterie plate to share is my personal favourite.

Fantastic selection of non-traditional wood fired pizza. My husband had a pulled pork pizza. Cheese, pork, sage, apple coleslaw with cider dressing. Delicious! From the specials board I had Reconstructed pork ribs with Asian salad. Not for people on a salt free diet but very...More

Amazing atmosphere, brilliant service, with everyone really nice and going out of there way to try and help out. Pizza was good, maybe could have had a bit more meat on there, but it might have just been my choice of pizza. They were very...More

Just moved to Ballarat and tried Forge for the first time. Very possibly the best pizza I have ever had. Wholesome, relatively healthy, fresh and delicious. A bit pricey but the quality of what you get is comensurate with the price.

I was not long in Ballarat, but I heard (and confirmed) this is definitely the place for pizza! Buffalo mozzarella and italian sausage with field greens. Yum, Yum, Yum. By the way, pretty much no problem eating the whole pizza myself (!) so order accordingly...More

Our grandfather Frank was a well-known Blacksmith in the Ballarat region, and at the heart of a Blacksmith's shop is a fire they call the Forge. With a combination of the fire, great skill and plenty of hard work, great things are created. Take a look at our wood fire oven and you'll know why we are "The Forge". Established in 2010 by brothers Chris and Tim Matthews, The Forge Pizzeria creates delicious woodfired pizzas made with fresh local produce and high quality deli ingredients. We pride ourselves on pizza perfection, passion and a fun laid-back atmosphere. There is a fully serviced 200 seat restaurant in Armstrong Street, Central Ballarat, which complements the 20 seat take-away store in Sturt Street, Alfredton. We also now have two rolling mobile pizza ovens which operate at various events and private functions. Once your pizza is ordered, its action a plenty. Using our fresh healthy dough recipe, the stretcher starts stretching the base, great viewing in itself. The makers add the right amount of ingredients, which have all been freshly prepared on our premises, into the woodfire oven and then the magic happens. Fresh, healthy and woodfired.
