Lovely tiramisu, casual racism

I went there with my girlfriend, we did not book in advance. Another family in front of us of South Asian descent was told the whole place was booked out and yelled at by the old Italian lady, but we were given a table immediately....I am white. The table we were seated at was very close - elbows touching other customers. The place was very hot. The pizza was lacklustre. The tiramisu was excellent though. The waitress who waited for us was lovely. Service was very quick and efficient. The old Italian lady was very unprofessional to other customers of non-European descent. Everyone seemed stressed, a poor trainee who was on that day. Understandable in a busy environment but not excusable. We will not be going back there.More

Would never return nor recommend

I accept that we arrived on a busy night and this place is obviously popular, but we didn't enjoy it one bit. We were squeezed in between two other tables and my husband was bumping elbows with the neighbouring diners. The pizzas were not that...great (mine was better than my husbands) but what we didn't like about them was the price. We had dessert and again mine was better than my husbands, but both average. All in all we had two soft drinks, two pizzas and two desserts and got charged $110. We felt thoroughly ripped off.More

Pizza in Te Anau

Actually really good pizza!! Thin crust and plenty of choice. Service is also very friendly and fast. Definitely a good stop in Te Anau

Flavourful delicious food. Warm service

Delicious pizzas with many choices. We had the chicken cranberry and venison and really enjoyed them. Am sure all the others will be as good. The pork and venison lasagna is a must try. The friendly and warm service add up to the delicious food....Highly recommended.More

Delicious Pizza

Delicious authentic Italian pizza bases. Friendly staff and great wines. Would recommend visiting while in Te Anau. Desserts were good also.

Fantastico! Warm reception, perfect pizza.

After not finding room in any other pub/restaurant on a Monday night we happened upon this place. From the moment we entered we were warmly greeted by the maître who found us a table for two. I really enjoyed this place. Family friendly it had...a buzz that seemed to suit everyone. The pizza were perfect. Cooked in a centralised pizza oven by a skilled person. Loved it.More

Delicious Pizza with Friendly Service

A takeaway night in an unknown location risky right 🤭 From the moment we perused the menu and given the friendly invitation to order and wait inside we knew we were going to enjoy our pizza. The Camembert and Chicken was delicious equally as wonderful...as the Smoked Salmon option which deserves the sprinkle of chilli flakes to enhance as suggested by our creative pizza chef. This Pizzeria deserves your consideration your tastebuds and belly will thank you.More

A joy for vegans.

What a great find. Excellent vegan pizzas and salad. And delicious vegan sticky date pudding with homemade vegan vanilla ice cream. So glad we decided to eat here. Staff were wonderful. A 10 out of 10 from me.

Would make reservations if you can

We were lucky another table cancelled and they could squeeze us in for dinner. It is packed in there but all the employees had great attitudes. We enjoyed our aperols, salads, and pizza - definitely recommend.

Yummy pizza

Great place! We got a warm welcome without a reservation & they were busy! Shown to a table very promptly & offered drinks. They told us they had a very big order & the wait would be a while….but it wasn’t bad at all. The...pizza was delicious!!!! We worth a visit.More

Very good pizza and the freshest of salad

My wife and I shared a della casa ensalada and a Pizza Napoli. The salad had freshest of greens, veggies of all sorts, olives, walnuts, feta and dried cranberries. The pizza had tomato sauce, capers, anchovies and buffala mozzarella. Both were tasty, delicious and yummy.

Unhappy

We booked in person two days in advance. They were very friendly and happy to take the booking which included our name and phone number. Turned up and the whole place was closed! No phone call to say sorry we are closed. Nothing! Very unhappy...as most of the rest of Te Anau was booked out.More

Very disappointing!

Not happy. We booked ahead but when we arrived they were closed. This is not good. They had my name and number. They could have rung me. Really disappointed in this.

Good . Very good.

The food is delicious, a decent wine and drinks list and the service was very good for how busy they were.....a little noisy and we went early to avoid the rush.
