Visited with my wife and a friend. We called to book and were asked to come as walk in. Upon arrival we waited to be sat whereas we saw other "locals" being sat down before us and were told they had booked in advance. Baffling...More

Just love everything about this place. Have had breakfast here twice now, and left both times feeling completely nourished.

I came to The Lotus-Heart Vegetarian Restaurant with two friends who recommended it, and I really enjoyed the food. We all had different meals, and thought them delicious. The menu was comprehensive. Service was a bit off-hand, and it's quite a crowded restaurant. This is...More

We visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Chose the Vegan big breakfast. A fabulous plate full of healthiness! Full of flavour, very well presented and great value for money. The service was great and didn't wait long for the freshly cooked food. A great...More

Been there a few times now, and we were never disappointed. Staff is discrete and friendly, the atmosphere of the various dining rooms is very nice, and most importantly the food is excellent every time.

The Lotus-Heart is a vegetarian gem in my experience - for its food and for its uplifting ambience. There is such a wide variety of excellent vegetarian dishes with plenty of vegan and even one or two raw options on the menu/specials list. They also...More

We were recommended to try this place while staying in Christchurch. We loved the vibe of the place, straight out of India, and the food was really good. The teas were very nice with timers to get the strength just right.

I've eaten at Lotus Heart before, and every time I come to Christchurch I have to come back. The food and drinks are all prepared with a lot of intention and care, and their homemade cashew milk is incredible! Last time I was there I...More

My daughter and I were impressed with the extensive vegetarian options on the menu, including a multitude of different drinks. The prices were reasonable and the service excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Lotus Heart is a unique restaurant especially in its Indian style decor design. There are statues all around and much thought has been put into the decorative side of the restaurant. The food was pleasant but possibly a bit too plain and lacked flavour.

Description
The Lotus-Heart is dedicated to conscious living and healthy eating, striving to create a global cuisine naturally. We use the freshest ingredients, locally grown and organic where possible, pure vegetable oils and vegetarian cheese, and avoid the use of microwaves unless specifically requested due to time constraints. We respect and honour the choices and requirements of our customers and in addition to our pure vegetarian fare, we offer options for vegan, gluten-free, raw food diets, and are more than happy to cater for specific allergy needs. Children are most welcome and we have a children's menu and high chairs available.
