When Paihia is swamped with holiday makers at New years it can take ages to get food served at restaurants so we decided to go to Mr Donburi and it was the best decision ever! Delicious, hot and super fast. Great value and did I mention DELICIOUS?! Will definitely be going back again as a local it’s great to have more options.

This has to be the best value in town. I'm extremely impressed. We both had the salmon bento and the salmon was really really fresh - best I've had for a long ling time. Great octopus balls as well and the peach tea was great too. Very friendly and helpful service. Highly recommended

Delicious basic donburi, fresh food and clean environment. Dumplings also good. Will extend my knowledge of the offerings on next visit

Our favorite place to eat in Paihia. The shrimp and salmon are cooked to tender perfection. And the dumplings are great.

the takoyaki and chips from this place are SOOO GOOD. I love my japanese food and let me tell you it is not easy to find asain cuisine around here! the chef looks professional as always and hopefully i can come back soon!

Best melt in your mouth DUMPLINGS in NZ!!!! Definately recommend coming here. The other food is yum too but the dumplings with sesame sauce are off the hook!

This place is my favorite place around Paihia, definitely the BEST if considered as the pricing and quality quantity, always go get the Ebi Don which is fried prawns. Milk tea, iced peach tea. Yum!!! The restaurant is Japanese style but the owner is a Chinese guy, he’s an awesum guy! Still got so many options gotta explore on the menu, dumplings, ramens, snacks... Anyway 100% my favorite, but its in a quite position so unlike other one got heaps of reviews.

Had the chicken teriyaki. Food was okay for an inexpensive lunch.
Would prefer Paihia Lane Kitchen across from it.

Came across this hidden gem of Paihia whilst strolling around - food was inexpensive, super tasty with fast service! Would definitely eat there again to explore more of the menu.

We came across this little Japanese restaurant wandering around Paihia - great lunch spot and very reasonably priced at $12 for a large bowl. The chicken Katsu was excellent and was all cooked to order (nice and fresh, the chicken was very well cooked). The staff were also super friendly!
