With an easing of restrictions, Fairbrossen has been able to reopen in a limited capacity which will hopefully be lifted even further with the lifting of further restrictions at the end of next week. For the moment the strict limit of 20 persons per sitting means that a reduced menu is in force and wine can be consumed with a meal. However, the platters that are being served are absolutely delicious and extremely filling and there is also the full range of Fairbrossen wines to choose from. A very welcoming atmosphere, excellent service and excellent food - all in a delightful experience.

We were looking for a place for lunch that was not to far away from home . We wanted to try somewhere we had not been before. Came across Fairbrossen on line so decided to give it a go. Impressed from the start. The menu was excellent and the food and service was great. Whilst waiting for our meals we were able to sample the selection of wines. on offer and can honestly say that this is the only Winery where we enjoyed ALL the samples tried. After the meal we spoke to the owners of the actual cafe, "Toms Kitchen" only to discover that they were moving to a different location, [Mount Lawley I think] within the month. That was disappointing news, so we don't know who will be replacing them. However, we will return.

We spent the morning exploring nearby Lesmurdie Falls and I'd beforehand looked on TA for somewhere peaceful to eat lunch. Covid has cut back the numbers of available venues, but I found that Fairbrossen didn't require booking and looked promising. How delighted we were to discover this delightful boutique winery makes a good range of terrific wines, including a couple unique to them! Bianca is extremely knowledgeable, very welcoming and helpful. Food offerings are limited to three platter choices, of which we chose the "Frenchie", which was delicious and accompanied by a glass each of the wines we chose after tasting. That we had the place to ourselves pretty much was a bonus and the tranquil surrounds and glorious sunshine allowed us to thoroughly relax and enjoy everything. We left with a selection of excellent wines, a sense of well-being and the satisfaction of having made the perfect lunch choice. A return visit is a given. 😋🌞🤗

We arrived in blistering heat and went into the winery to choose the wine we wanted to buy for the meal. We tried about 8 different wines from, red, rose, white, sparkling, dry, sweet, anything you liked. We then took the wine next door and had fish of the day. It was beautiful and Tom came out to to check we were happy with it. A lovely experience.

Didn’t book but they accommodated us on the terrace. We had the Frenchy which was just perfect. It was accompanied by their Pinot Noir which was delightful. Service just exceptional. Really glad we came. Decided to try their Saperavi as I was paying the bill and ended up tucking a bottle of that under my arm Wow what a delicious drop. We will be back !

So happy to be able to go to Tom’s kitchen again on a Monday. Glad you are opening again on Mondays due to popular demand. Awesome food and service. Particularly loved the duck pancakes, I hear the eye fillet was fabulous too. Top wine tasting by Ruby too. Catch you soon.

Hospitable staff, no pressure, imparted some of the history without any BS. I purchased 6 bottles & upon check out was told 1 would be gratis, nice to hear, & we managed to finish all the reds during our visit to Perth, hic !

We absolutely loved our afternoon at Fairbrossen. The wines were brilliant (loved the malbec and durif) and offered a few simple but delicious platters. Well worth the trip and will be back.

A special birthday celebration, a table of12 at Toms Kitchen on Saturday. We experienced the most delicious perfectly cooked food, every plate was outstanding in flavour & presentation. Entree of duck spring rolls were so delicious with small salad perfectly dressed & delicious with micro herbs yum. My main of WA Red Snapper on risotto with lemon butter sauce, husband had Rack of Lamb, duck fat potatoes & green, OMG OMG OMG, both sensational. Tom the chef really knows how to cook exceptionally well & presentation is a feast for the eyes. Wait staff are very professional, friendly & ready to please. Thank you Toms Kitchen we had a great day & will return for sure.

We first visited Fairbrossen a few years ago and back then it was awesome. We have been several times since then and unfortunately it’s gone down hill. On this occasion it didn’t help that the restaurant was totally unprepared for bad weather at this time of year and people were getting wet from the rain while trying to eat lunch. Maybe it would be good if the owners invested in some proper weather proof blinds for their eating area, for winter and summer? The restaurant doesn’t have a liquor licence now so you if you want wine you have to leave your table to go and buy it from the cellar door. I’m not sure about soft drinks, our table wasn’t asked. This occasion was a three course set menu. Myself and many in the group do not really like three courses but we had no other option. I found the food ok but lacking something. For example Steak and potatoes - not something I would normally expect. A few people in our group were not impressed. We also felt quite rushed, the waitress hovering and whisking away empty plates before people had finished eating. The restaurant was very busy for Father’s Day so perhaps they were just under the pump. It is a lovely place to visit, I just hope they raise their game a little and return to their former glory. We won’t be back in a hurry.

Family visit (9), Father’s Day and birthdays this must be our 20 something visit and it’s always been good before but somethings changed? We all felt as if we were being hurried out of the door, wine tasting was cut short to hurry us onto the table, then no wine was available in the restaurant, no licence? I find that hard to believe, we had to return to the winery and purchase a bottle, was this a ploy to sell bottles instead of glasses? the plates were swooped as soon as someone finished and a couple of times before they finished, many had steak, but the piles of fat left on the plates revealed the cut of meat to be lacking HOWEVER, it was busy, wait times were not to bad, the staff worked hard and the food from Toms kitchen tasty, we will be back but maybe not as quick as usual.

What a gem! Beautiful cellar door and Tom’s Kitchen for delicious lunch. Outlook to picturesque vineyard and a rolling lawn for kids to run around. Easy drive to Lesmurdie Falls. Thanks for a lovely day.

Great way to spend a Cold Winters Day – began with a little wine tasting, chose a nice Chardy for lunch, entered Toms Kitchen, lots of indoor heating making it warm and cosy, the restaurant was half full, ambience was great, the food was delicious I had the venison pie and hubby the pork belly both were very reasonably priced and all the staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend

It was cold and raining outside, but inside the heaters warmed the restaurant very nicely. After ordering our meals we popped into the winery to taste some wine and buy a bottle to have with our meal. Food was delicious and servings very large. Service was excellent. Will definitely visit this hidden gem again

We were there celebrating one of friends recent professional achievement! Nice view, friendly environment, delicious sea and vegan food and fabulous wine. Master piece was the sticky date pudding! Do not forget trying that!
