We popped into Zamia Cafe for coffee and a sweet treat. We arrived at the end of the lunch-time rush (around 2pm). At this time, most of the tables were occupied. Ideally it would have been lovely to sit outside under the covered veranda and admire the gardens. However, we were allocated a table inside. The full-length windows do provide views outside. The decor is functional more than stylish - tables and chairs that can be joined together or separated to provide for different sized groups. Cakes and other treats are displayed. Ordering occurs at the counter and food is then brought over. We ordered an Iced Long Black, Iced Latte, Flat White, Fruit Toast and two muffins. The cost of this snack was $24.00. The cafe offers a range of meals from sandwiches through to more substantial meals, such as Fish and Chips (price was around $35). Staff were friendly and the food did not take long to arrive. The fruit toast was filled with large pieces of fruit (not just raisins), and the muffins were warmed. All was tasty. By the time we'd finished the cafe was about 2/3 empty. It's a lovely location in Kings Park, situated right by a lake.

Zumia Cafe is located along May Drive in Kings Park. There is free parking nearby and the cafe is open from 8am to 4pm daily, making it a perfect first stop for those wanting to have brekky before spending a few hours exploring the Park. This is what we did recently during a stay in Perth. We found service to be friendly, prices reasonable, brekky dish portions very generous and food quality overall pretty good. Morning menu features a nice range of classic Australian and western breakfast items. You'll also find a selection of muffins, cakes and other sweet pastries at the order counter as well as an expected range of coffee drinks. On the day we tried the buttermilk pancakes which were swimming in raspberry compote, making the dish quite soggy and overly sweet. Would have asked them to go gentle on compote had I known beforehand. Otherwise, the pancakes tasted nice. Harvest Bowl on the other hand was nicely prepared, looked beautiful and tasted very good. Loved this bowl and would gladly reorder again.

I come to Zamia Cafe every chance I can get. The view of the park is gorgeous. The facilities are always clean and lovely. But above all, the staff are fantastic. I have food allergies, which makes it hard for me to eat outside the home . However, I know every time I come here, the kitchen will graciously accommodate my allergy restrictions. The manager has been here for years and always seems to be here very accessible to talk to. The food is delicious and they have fresh selections for your juice combinations. I highly recommend !!!

A well-loved cafe, located in a much-loved Western Australian attraction. Yet I give it one star. I haven't given a restaurant that low a score for years. Today, I ate lunch after morning coffee with fellow guides. I ordered lunch, pleased as i was, with the discount a guide gets here. My Caesar Salad had so many croutons with it! I thought the anchovies were making my meal overly salty already, but... How can you pack a salad with so many unhealthy croutons? Why should I subject my palate to being cut by the sharp edges of these croutons?

We stopped in here around 11:30am on a Monday to grab some takeaway just ahead of lunch: just a few pastries was all we ordered, so that we could go in and out quickly. Bad idea. Rather than just give us what we ordered immediately (even though they were made aware that we just wanted a quick takeaway, since we didn't have much time), our order was just put in a queue along with everyone else ordering takeaway. It would have taken literally under 30 seconds to take the three items we ordered (2 slices and a pastry) out of the display cabinet and give it to us immediately. Instead we had to wait about 10 minutes while a different staff member made all the coffees ordered ahead of us, and then finally grabbed our order and gave it to us. The food was great, and the coffees they were making for others looked good. But if you need to grab something quickly for takeaway as we did, this is not a good option. To be fair, the place looked very crowded, and staff seemed somewhat swamped.

First ever visit based on YouTube video and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Service it at the counter. Ordered eggs benedict and cappuccino and it was stunningly tasty and arrived in good time with any delays. Would highly recommend this venue for breakfast or lunch and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Managed to get a table for 10 when we walked in at about 10am. Although it was relatively empty, you could see many of the tables had reservations. It does get quite busy so the food did take a little longer to serve when we decided to place in additional orders. So pre-book if you're heading down. Lovely place to visit and grab a coffee whilst the kids enjoyed the gardens and playground in the area.

Perth locals brought us here for breakfast on a Saturday and we were lucky to get a good table as it is very popular. (Be sure to book if possible.) The restaurant is large and has a lovely outlook onto a pond and gardens in Kings Park. We loved the large serving of scrambled eggs and our friends enjoyed their choices. We all liked the coffee. There was a fabulous selection of sweet treats. This is a lovely location to relax alone or with others.

I have always had brilliant food in the past, but today was appalling. Grilled fish was dry and hard. Chips were like undercooked oven chips and the salad was all leaves. $80 badly spent. So disappointing.

Ordered takeaway for lunch, sat in the park to eat. Impressed at the delicious food, and very reasonable prices! Burger was only $11, and tasty as any other places around where you can pay $18 plus. Will definitely return

Decided to come for breakfast after seeing reviews about the cafe and it truly did not disappoint! The view was amazing and the food choices were a lot. The cakes looked good, though we didn't get a chance to eat them as we were too full. We saw many reserved tables for lunch hours so I'd suppose reservation is recommended if you are coming from lunch onwards. I had the Zamia Challenge and loved it!

Came here with four friends and we all enjoyed our meals. 8 had the Harvest Bowl which had an excellent array of ingredients, including shaved beetroot, hummus, baby spinach, cubed pumpkin, edamame beans, rice and grains and half an avocado. I included the haloumi option with it and overall it was excellent, in fact so large I couldn’t finish it, which is unusual and a compliment not a criticism. My friends had a variety of dishes including fish and chips, fried squid and a beef sandwich type of thing, all were pronounced very good. I enjoyed the DNA juice and my friends liked their elderberry and coconut mock tail. The food arrived quickly considering how busy it was. It was a good eating experience overall.

We were intrigued on the beautiful cafe in may drive inside kings park upon entering it has an attractive display fridge with wide selection of sandwiches, fruit bowls, granola bars, muffins and cakesp. We ordered there pumpkin soup with 2 pcs of sourdough bread, sweet corn fritters and berry slush. Pumpkin soup tasteless, watery and cold Sweet corn fritters have a blue ribbon paper stick on one of the fritters even my child notice it "mommy what is that blue thing on the food" c'mon guys is that blue thing edible? Have you even think any blue colored food? The berry slush was nice in color but taste like a slush of ice water. Price wise too expensive for the value of food you get.

A popular cafe for 'senior' members of the community so if you want to guarantee a table during the peak time of lunch you better book and reserve a table. The menu is reasonable with a good variety and offers food from breakfast to mid afternoon, 7 days a week. The main seating area is indoors but there is a small balcony area with a few tables. Service was prompt and the food came in a timely manner. Meal size is reasonable and all were tasty, fresh and hot. Handy parking nearby.

We visited this cafe in Kings Park which is on the edge of Perth overlooking the Swan River and city Centre. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a very good selection of food, cakes and beverages with seating indoor or outdoors. The food and coffee was fantastic and all 4 of us enjoyed our meals. We also took cakes home for afternoon tea. Highly recommended. Mark and Anne Newcastle NSW Australia
