We loved eating at Delhi street, the food is excellent, the vibe is fantastic and the orders come out in good time. Service can be lacking a little but they are friendly and efficient when asked for something. We made the mistake of ordering a small starter as a main- it would have been helpful if the waitress had clarified... More

Thank you trip advisor for telling me about this restaurant only a couple of blocks from our hotel! We absolutely loved the place....so much so, we went there twice! We went with the advice of other reviewers and chose a thali each (one vegetarian, one meat) and they were absolutely delicious....thali's come with a choice of two or three curry... More

We had a group of us order takeaway from this Indian Restaurant for lunch at work. They dont do delivery so we had someone collect the orders. I ordered their Biryani which was absolutely amazing with lots of flavour and a huge serve for $12. This is the second time our office has ordered food from this restaurant and all... More

My partner and I found this place recommended online and it certainly didn't disappoint. The price was very cheap and the food was delicious and flavourful. We will be back before we leave Melbourne. The staff were lovely and attentive too.

It's a nice quirky place, with excellent service. The staff were very accommodating to a few requests of mine. Had the dosa and the food is ok, wouldn't say it's authentic Indian food, but a good lunch option nonetheless.

For $12 AU each, we chose a thali w one meat n one veg entree. I chose lamb vindaloo n red lentil dal. A small serving of each but both very flavorful. Came w lovely rice, a tiny but excellent green salad plus roti n naan. A full plate for one or share for a lite bite. Loved the Indian... More

Came across this little gem walking back to the Holiday Inn one afternoon. Looked promising so went for an evening meal. Fair to say we were not disappointed. Food and service were excellent and would definitely go back when in Melbourne again.

If you like a decent curry and fancy something slightly different then you have to go here. Tucked out the way in a quiet road this place was amazing. Food is very reasonably priced and you can select 3 curries, a rice, naan, salad garnish and poppadum all on a dish for your main. The butter chicken here was amazing... More

Went here because it was the closest place to the \bunyip Tour company offices! So glad we did. We had the vegetarian thali (lots of vegetarian choices on the menu), the meat thali and the paneer pizza. All were fantastic. The curries were rich and delicious with lots of meat in the non-veggie option. The paneer pizza was moist and... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
