I love the GRILLED BEEF RIBS. It is what I usually order and the server knows this. Would definitely go here again. I lost my phone so dont have any pics to post at this time.

Traditional and good Indonesian dishes, with a good and fast service. Reasonable prices too and good location (walking distance from the Southern Cross station)

Upstairs and unsure what to expect … but friendly service led to table. Curry soup, beef ribs and yellow rice the order. Delicious Indonesian meal and will return here.

Not authentic-tasting (lamb ribs with coleslaw??), but clearly using plenty of MSG instead of real spices. (I'm allergic so I recognise the signs). Pity, because it looked like it wos a cheerful student warung.

we saw this place walking down King Street and gave it a try, Had the gado gado and chicken satay with chendol and hot jasmine tea drinks. The staff were very cheerful and many other dishes looked great as well, so we'll have to return another time to try the yellow rice and other foods.

Love the food at this place and I quite often opt this for the lunchtime meals. I specifically love their Gado gado topped with grilled chicken. Other than that their pork/lamb ribs are also very nice. Apart from these you can pretty much have anything and it will be good. Prices are average and they have two levels of seating space. it is quite busy at peak times.

Delicious and affordable Indonesian food in town. I ordered the beef rib curry, yellow rice, gado gado and spicy tofu. I spent $3.50 to add chicken to my gado gado and it was so good. The chicken is grilled with a distinct charcoal flavour, its very delicious. The beef is tender and comes apart when you eat it. The curry is tangy and just the type of Indonesian curry that I like. It can be a tact salty so eat it with rice and it is perfect! Spicy tofu was not very spicy but very crispy and comes in a not overwhelmingly sweetish sauce with a spicy touch. Most importantly, the rice comes with sambal balachan chilli, the must have for any authentic indonesian meal.

There's a choice of rice, noodles or salad. I opted for the gado-gado salad with peanut sauce and grilled chicken. Totally delicious and filling.

We really enjoyed our night there, My partner had a hankering for Satay. Did a quick search on this Site and this restaurant came up. We had 2 entrees to share then two mains - chicken satay and the lambs ribs plus a glass of wine and beer....all this for $55.00. Nice friendly staff, good food at a great price. We'll certainly come back next time in Melbourne

I appreciate places that are open fairly late on a Sunday night. I really needed to eat and this one was close to my hotel and had an eager staff of young cooks. I wanted meat, but I needed some veggies after a lot of on-the-road food where veggies were scarce. I ordered gado gado with chicken. The veggies were flavorful and fresh, but the chicken was tired. It was clear that it had not been just cooked . Unfortunately it took away from an otherwise nice experience. Maybe I'll try them again earlier in the day.

Must try the chicken satay, it’s delicious But I would not recommended the chicken Soto. It was sweet, without the correct seasoning Entry has stairs, making difficult to family who brings babies with pram.

Unpretentious but what a jem of a find! Delicious food with all the flavour of true Indonesian cooking. We had the Chicken Sate, Gado Gado, Egg Balado and all were absolutely delicious and just like my Oma used to cook for us as kids! Don't be put off by the thought of drinking Avocado Juice, it's a drink quite typical in Indonesia and is surprisingly sweet and delicious!

Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
