Tucked away in a quiet cul de sac surrounded by Art Deco buildings and a tad from the YARRA this little gem didn’t fail us I needed to book for one elderly bruncher and used the web for contact - but the email address belonged...to the old proprietor who responded and gave me a number to ring It was a coolish morn but the sun burnt off the cloud and it was a bit warm on the streetscape so our wonderful staff moved us indoors without question or tardiness The mix of breakfasts from eggs Benedict, a salad, Omelette, sour dough breads plus differing drinks came promptly , reasonably priced and just , well yummy I read reviews and look to the poor as well as the good so who ever had a bad experience here must’ve been on an off day or simply the stars didn’t align A taste of gve clandestine San Fran Cisco eateries tucked away in Melbourne or for the snobbish - Souf YarraaMore

This restaurant has all the character in the world. Have been going for the last three years or so and food has always been a highlight. Staff is always nice and charming. Only thing that was not great this last visit, was having to wait...for 30 minutes to get our food, when only three tables were eating at the time. Once they work out the kitchen time management, it will be perfect!More

Very cute tucked away coffee shop with great coffee and the seriously best breaky I've had in ages! Friendly and accommodating staff too.

I've been here a number of times when I want a lazy breakfast. The, relatively, new owners take great care to provide a terrific breakfast. Enjoyed my eggs and Avocado to the last piece.

Lawson grove is a small quaint cafe and shop tucked away in a little lane in Caroline street. The food is absolutely amazing and good coffee. The staff is outstanding. I’ve never met a more friendly set of people. The nostalgic and simple decor and...carefully lovely music are a cherry on the cake. Absolutely love this hidden gem. Must visit.More

This quaint little hidden cafe is well worth going looking for. Recommended by staff that the special of the upside down eggs Benedict was extremely popular and after eating them I know why.... the hollandaise sauce was perfect, along with the softly poached eggs. The...spinach was beautiful and the prosciutto was the salty touch that was needed. Perfect for breakfast (all day, everyday)😃 Staff were also very friendly and helpfulMore

This chef knows his stuff. Try the chipotle scramble. It’s like stepping back in time at Lawson Grove. Love it.

Yummy wagyu burger and we had also the awesome...chipotle omelette with avo and cheese. One of the nicest brunches around. Staff are also very friendly and service is quick.
