Had the buffet breakfast. The scrambled eggs had no flavour the hash browns were hard and oily. Nothing was hot. For the price you would expect a decent coffee but it was from a machine.
Went looking for sunday morning early breakfast at the valley end of queen street. Found this restaurant. Nothing mind blowing for breakfast. Scrambled eggs were better than they looked. Definitely worth going to for breakfast.
We stayed at Mantra on Quay who offered Cook and Co as a breakfast option. The continental breakfast was very good. We arrived almost at the end of breakfast but all the options were fully stocked. Central location with very good coffee.
Had the buffet breakfast and was disappointed. Considering i heard so many good things about this place..massive let down. Bacon was chewy and not nice at all, eggs were powdered.. grilled tomatoes were great. Mushrooms i was excited, as i LOVE mushrooms, but way too...much garlic that it ruined them. Wasn't an enjoyable breakfast at all. Unfortunately we won't be back.More
I had the pleasure of having lunch here the other day and was quite impressed with the quality and quantity of the food for $15. The service was just the right level, friendly and efficient. I had the fish, chips and salad, there were two...very large pieces of fish and both were cooked perfectly. My son had been here for a work event and had the burger on that occasion, he enjoyed it so much that he had to have it again on this visit, that's always a good indication the food is good.More
The meals were good. The ribs were nice and the sweet potato chips were so yummy! The service was lacking a little. I could have done with a bottle of water on the table rather than waiting for someone to fill it up (it never...happened so I stole my husbands water). Other than that the staff were nice and the meals were yummy.More
The staff were really great. Not too fussy but paying attention. The food was good ..not great but definitely very good.
Stayed at the Mantra for two nights and wish we had eaten here both nights. The ribs were amazing and the service impeccable. Next trip we'll eat here again!
Have attended this restaurant for 2 nights and days while staying at the Mantra on Queen. Very impressed with the Cuisine Menu...covers all tastes Quality...fresh ingredients and excellent flavours Staff...very welcoming and attentive without being in your face Restaurant facets are exceptional...cleanliness, comfortability and personalised...Will be back and highly recommend visitors to Brisbane to check it out. Easy to get to...10 walk mins from Queen st Mall/ bus from Central 2 mins-right to the door. 😀😀😀😀😀More
Come here a few times a week for Lunch with co-workers. Prices are great and food is amazing. Will continue to come back!
Food was an absolute, over priced &, over cooked what a joke. As a chef myself I would be embarrassed to serve what was dished up to me tonight and still call myself a chef. Entree (special) Scollops with prosciutto & rockmelon salsa - scollops...had been grilled for that long they had shrivelled up to the size of peas. Were tasteless and rubbery. How can you destroy such a wonderful product. Main Scotch fillet with pepper sauce. Steak came out in the middle of a plate w a sprinkled of shaved deep fried sweet potato and a tiny bit of green garnish sprinkled around the plate, so basically it was just the steak for $36 ordered it med and was so well done it was dry and tough, which obviously would have been a good steak if the chef cared. Oh and the pepper sauce wow that was brown tastless runny water you should be ashamed. My wife and I dine out very regularly and I have never written a review before but this by far is the worst food I have ever been served. The only thing that was not over Cooke was the extra side salad I ordered. On a good note, service was 100% Fast, friendly, courteous and attentive.More
I stumbled upon Cook & Co some time ago and it's quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in town. The food is always ready quickly, tastes amazing and is delivered to our table with a smile.
Had lunch here with three work colleagues today and the food was great, service was excellent and portion sizes worthwhile. We got the $20 deal with a beer and this was good value considering what we received. We will be back.
I found cook a few months ago and was immediately very impressed with the quality of the food. Every time I eat there the meals are always prepared quickly and taste fantastic. I can proudly say I have tried every item on the menu and...enjoyed them all. The staff are also really friendly and always go above and beyond to ensure you have a good dining experience. All in all this is a hidden gem, if you're staying at the Mantra on Queen definitely try dinner there, and even if you aren't definitely give it a go.More
