Great lunch dining experience. We had the tasting menu which was better than expected. Cocktails and wine were gorgeous. Would definitely eat here again and again.

Had been before in January so recommended to friends. Incredibly disappointed. The older lady serving was rude, no refill on water, no service for ordering more drinks. No wonder they were empty of other diners! Our bill was given to us before we ordered coffees....We added coffee and were contemplating something else when I got the card reader put in front of me. So disappointing as food is nice but need to overhaul the nonservice given.More
A great degustation of flavours and texture that leaves you wanting even more We joined friends for a lunch with an amazing experience Great service - a knowledgeable Somelier - pairing our degustation to perfection
Ordered 2 glasses of wine, cheapest on the menu at $19.00. (Bottled in 23, should not be on the menu. So called prestigious restaurant should not serve this ordinary rubbish at a premium price. Bill came to $49.08 because of surcharges. Over $11.00 in surcharges....No frills, no nuts, nothing but gouging.More
We had a fabulous dinner with a wonderful view. Food was the next level! The food was interesting and next level - well done! Thank you!
I became aware of this 14-Hat property after binge-watching MasterChef Australia where Otto chef appeared in challenge with show contestants. I sat near the patio with a wonderful view of the river. 6-course tasting experience provided eye and palate pleasing cuisine. My steak portion was...most filling and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend Otto Brisbane whenever you fancy a taste for a wonderful dining experience.More
The food and setting were impressive. However, the head waiter's inattentiveness and lack of customer service were observed by everyone at the table. 20 mins for first drinks and then told we did not have time for the degustation menu and continually reminded throughout the...evening we only had limited time at the table.More
Great spot right on the river. Small wine glass and not your standard serve. Great they had GF pasta but the pasta dish was bland. Hard lumps of sausage type meat and pasta and a bit of cheese type sauce. Tasteless. For $36? Really? Add...says compares to authentic Italian. I just came back from a trip to Italy and it certainly wasn’t comparable. Service was ok, but pushy to take our order and restaurant only 1/4 full. Maybe people are reading recent reviews. So sad that these days sun standard food is acceptable. Maybe people that say it was great haven’t had great food before. This might be harsh but when you pay heaps of money for good experience and good food I don’t think it’s too much to expect delivery. It’s not hard to cook fantastic food.More
We were going to spend the lovely evening in Otto. When we arrived at the restaurant with my six-year-old daughter, she held half of the lemonade cup. The waiter said we could not enter the restaurant with our drink. Really, with kids lemonade? We ordered...oysters, vine, cocktails, and snacks, and the young child complained she could not drink her lemonade all evening! The evening and mood were ruined! The waiter was rude, and when we were ordering food while my husband was busy on the phone just standing near him, we called food right while she had to come back for service. We are local to Otto restaurant and go very often for dinner. This service stops us from coming back to this restaurant. I hope the owner will get attention to untrained staff to stop customers leaving!More
We previously visited 2 years ago and were impressed. This time, not so much. Rang them 1 day before, man who answered couldn't be less interested and wouldn't take reservation by phone and insisted on a website booking. Rang again 1.5hrs prior to when we...planned to go in order to to make a reservation, and unable to make a reservation without providing credit card details. We turned up anyway despite no reservation and it was only about 1/3 full. Something as simple as trying to make a reservation was a negative experience due to the establishment appearing disinterested, and then insisting on taking card details. We had 2 starters. Foccacia was good, soup was fine. We had 2 mains, market fish (barramundi served with capers) and risotto with side of fries and a salad. 2 glasses (hand poured and tiny) of wine brought the total to $210. Main course was cold on arrival. Service was poor. Drinks arrived after we'd finished starters and only when we asked again where they were. The only redeeming feature of this meal was the location by the river. The service, food quality, food and wine quantity, and reservation experience was disappointing, especially for the price being charged. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but it was not the experience we expected based on a previous visit and the recommendations that many websites have for Otto. All of this was fed back to the manager after paying.More
We just stopped in for am afternoon drink and a small plate on a lovely sunny day. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was served quickly and was excellent. Just some focaccia and sardines but we'll presented and tasty. Washed down...with some xxxx and aperol spritz.More
Yes, it's expensive, but worth it for a treat. I'm wary of 'tourist' eateries, but this one excelled on a lovely Sunday winter's night, by the river.. The seafood was perfect. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable service was a plus.
We've been many times to Otto in Brisbane in and out of COVID times. Couldn't go past our favourite dishes of course. Still doesn't live up to a la carte service expectations each time we've been. Having to ask for our wine to be topped...up, even to get the wine for our main meals..But the food is amazing, so I'd be happy to clear my plate, drop it on the counter, pick up my bottles of wine and keep eating forever...Just amazing flavours. Compliments to the chefs and the kitchen staff at Otto!More
Very disappointing. We have to wait for more than half an hour for their entree and 45 minutes for the man. The food is not up to standard. We have a booking of 12 people not even once. Did we ever been told that there...will be a surcharge of 10% for group of people? We end up paying a service fee of $200. Very very disappointing. Will never recommend the restaurant to anyone.More
