This is Jim's baby despite offering it for sale on a regular basis to anyone who may be interested. I offered monopoly money. Appearing frequently grumpy, Jim is all crust on the outside and gooey chew on the inside. Bit like Esca really - you...More

We have eaten here a few times. We keep coming back to Esca (in a street which has lots of eating choices) because the food is reliably good, the staff are professional and friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. With traditional bentwood chairs, plenty of...More

I visited Esca for a Sunday morning breakfast with my partner and children. The manager was friendly and efficient and quickly had us shown to our table and a high chair was delivered for the little one. We had good coffee, excellent big breakfast and...More

I had the same experience as some of the other reviewers on this site. Extraordinarily rude and arrogant owner. Acts like it is your privilege to be in his cafe. I’ll never return there.

We had a group of 7 for breakfast on the weekend - staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Nice service, good menu with loads of options to tailor your breakfast dish with extras. Great coffee (Campos) and nice juices. Well done. Clearly...More

as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and
Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the
