I visited with a group of friends for dinner. It was easy to find, parking is out the back or over the road. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed for a suburban restaurant. The staff were fast, polite and attentive. The menu has a good...range of options at very good prices. The food came in good time and was very god quality. I especially liked their ambient, jazzy instrumental background music. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for casual dining.More

With so many restaurants on offer nowadays , it’s hard to find somewhere convenient, to enjoy some quality food with family without having to travel for hours. We heard from close friends that Narai was such a place and decided to try it out. All...I can say is, we were not disappointed. Parking was a breeze at the rear of the restaurant and things got even better when we entered. The friendly staff quickly found us a table, even though it was packed and took our order after giving us a couple of minutes to relax! Our drinks and food arrived without delay and everything was just delicious. We shared a couple of appetisers, followed by a nice seafood platter with steamed rice. Yum! Every dish was just great. Have to say, very reasonably priced too! We want to bring our family and friends next.More

First time we have tried Narai Thai. Got takeaway for 16 people for birthday celebrations at home, was 20-25 minute wait time which was good esp as it was a reasonably big order and it was Valentines day. Food was nice, particularly the stir fry's...and curries, nice taste and flavour, not too spicy which was great for the kids (I am sure you can ask them to spice it up if you like!) Noodles could use a bit more interest and flavour. Would definitely try again.More

Recently celebrated a birthday dinner with eight people at Narai Thai Restaurant. We keep coming back as the food and very quick service makes for an enjoyable evening. We chose the $40 per head banquet which consisted of Thai spring rolls, spicy minced pork salad,...chicken satay, Thai green curry, stir fried duck, charcoal grilled pork fillets, stir fried vegetables and mixed ice cream if desired. All separate dishes. A most enjoyable evening once again. Fully licensed, but it can get very noisy.More

Pad Thai is my favourite food. Narai thai however have made a version of the dish that is unique in that it is flavourless and gross. Curry puffs were yum though.

From coming to this restaurant when it’s owners had the Northcote restaurant and then expanded into this one, we hadn’t been for a long time as we were getting annoyed that the main meal sizes were inconsistent but something has definitely changed even more so....We visited for Sunday lunch expecting it hard to get a seat( like our past experiences) and there was 6 people in the restaurant. Service was friendly as always and attentive. Penang curry whilst had a lovely flavour, was very watery (like a thin soup) and lacked an appropriate amount of vegetables. Very disappointed from our past experiences. The entre satay chicken had definitely been precooked and then re grilled, it was a little dry. Curry puffs were spot on. Light and fluffy. Salads were enjoyable but not great, they did accommodate my fish allergy by not adding fish sauce which I did appreciate very much. Chilli and basil vegetables was lovely. $90 for 2 of us which included a $4 corkage.More

Six of us recently dined at Narai Thai Restaurant in Bundoora for a birthday party. Situated in the old post office building, Cnr. Grimshaw Street & Plenty Road, Bundoora. Place has been gutted and it is now a very nice place inside to dine. We...chose Banquet A for $40 per person. Eight different courses and all very enjoyable. But, not a prawn to be seen on any dish, disappointing. Extremely quick service, plates just kept coming out two at a time. Place was well patronised for a Wednesday evening. Very nice bar setup with a good selection of wine and spirits. Toilets clean and no smell. Happy to recommend this very nice restaurant. Entering the front of the restaurant, you have to walk up stairs. Query if wheelchair access is available from another entry point before making a booking.More
