Me and a friend of mine went to this restaurant after asking around to locals and did not disappoint our expectations at all!! We had a mix of raw, sautéed mussels, 2 oysters, fried squid, 1 first course with clams, 1 mixed salad, tiramisú and 1 glass... in total we paid 103 euros... I would say excellent value for money. The waiters very kind and super nice!!! To conclude I would say that those who pass through Gozo can not 'not spend a dinner in this place!

This was truly a delicious treat...coming off the ferry in Mgarr Gozo my husband & I walked around the narrow back street of the harbour. Set among a cluster of restaurants, we came across this enticing restaurant. Since we both love fish, the Trio of fish crudo sounded interesting and trust me, it was simply divine Raw Tuna, Octopus 🐙 & Salmon 😋 We both had Seafoid Pasta for our mains howeve, there was an intriguing selection of dishes to choose from including meats 🍖 The ambiance was very rustic with a romantic candle light on our table and excellent and attentive hosts. Although we were quite full, we could not resist their dessert menu, we had a mouthwatrig homemade Hazlent Rocher served on a Brownie ...Mon Dieu what a treat ! 👏 👏 👏

We were very attentive and accommodating. The staff is very friendly.
A bee sting caused us to immediately get fresh lemons and ice cream. A thousand thanks!
The food was superbly-local products served with great attention to detail. The amuse bouche with anchovies and the warm rolls at the start were followed by the fish dishes and homemade pasta dishes. And also the tiramisu was simply delicious!

A warm welcome by the owner and staff, who were very attentive to providing us with a memorable experience. The food was exquisite indeed. It was very packed on the evening we had dinner there, so that the atmosphere was quite noisy. A good number of local diners seemed unable to communicate with each other without raising their voices. For this reason, it was quite difficult to have a quiet conversation at our table. Nevertheless, this restaurant deserves a repeat visit. The bill was fair, considering the quality of the food and the service.

We were welcomed with the restaurant's motto, which comes on the menu and reads, "We don't just make you a meal, we give you an eating experience you will never forget." Our experience, however, wasn't quite that. The delivery of the milk for our coffee was tardy, and the service was sluggish. The bottle of wine we selected from the menu claimed to be from New Zealand, but it really came from South Africa.

Wow , excellent eve.... I always have a read of the reviews before going to a restaurant, and what stood out, seemed that service was not 100%. So expected such.... I am afraid to say that I was proven wrong, service was above par, if not excellent. The restaurant focuses on fish (obviously, It's located in Gozo main harbour with fishing boats galore - what does one expert) , and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, we had a carpaccio of fish for starters and ċippullazza (red scorpionfish) which was cooked to perfection and really and truly fresh. My choice of white wine was a Chateau Kefraya Les Bretèches White and this went down well with the dinner.
The atmosphere and ambience were quiet and serene as the restaurant is located in an alley within the confines of the harbour area.
Thank you once again, we will book again very soon...

Went there for dinner with friends. After waiting 1 hour for our order to be taken, we were told they were out of their complimentary focaccia and had to wait another hour for our food - a two hour interval between being seated and being served! Furthermore, we ordered the fried and grilled calamari combo which, apart from being unattractively presented, was drenched in oil and accompanied by a ghastly mustard dressing. I had been there before but it was never this terrible. Really a rotten evening and a waste of money.

Dinner at Ta Tona in Gozo at the harbor. Best to make reservations at the Ta Tona restaurant. We ate there twice and without a reservation you have to come very early and you can stay up to 8 hours. The food and service there is very good. The staff members are very friendly. The fish soup, squid, tona and grilled fish are very tasty.

At Ta Tona, food was excellent,we had fish soup.muscles,fried calamari,rise as a starters,then for main we took a fish platter for 2 PP and cappullazza fish for 2 PP all cooked perfectly,then sweets and coffe. service was brilliant as they guide you to choose the best,waiters were fast & polite.prices fair for what you order....will visit again for sure !!

We ordered grilled seafood...the prawns were not fresh and the rest of the fish was fine...just fine. The worst part was the wine, which was not served chopped and after complaining they gave us another one just like it. They took us for fools and on top of that they charged us. Fatal I would not return!!!!! That street has three more restaurants in which we dined wonderfully!!!!!

Came here with my partner as recommended by a family member. Absolutely amazing!! Brilliant service, and very friendly. The range of specials they have are very wide, including lots of fresh fish. Incredible food, big portions, delicious and beautiful presentations. Highly recommend for any seafood and grill lovers!! Definitly one to visit when coming to gozo

Our first time back to Gozo in 8 years and first port of call was Ta'Tona. And still as good as we remember😊 Fantastic fresh fish, lovely friendly floor staff a great team of young very talented chef's behind the scenes the owner greeted us with a huge and welcomed us back made us feel very welcome. We seemed to be two of the only tourist on that night every table was full of local people of all ages. ( a sure sign the restaurant is good)
Definitely book if you can its a busy spot.
You would be doing yourself a favour by going here it's a truly a great restaurant.

My goodness what a beautiful meal. We passed this on our way to hotel and booked. Not disappointed. Staff were amazing, attentive and keen to give us history of the name. We had mussels, clams as a starter which was delicious, lovely and enough for three people. The fish mains were amazing, you see the fish they are going to cook. I had a lamb shank which was perfectly cooked. All came with plenty of vegetables, baby roast potatoes, sautéed potatoes. Had a nice bottle of wine. All in all a wonderful meal, the best on our 3 night stay and would definitely return. Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend

Visiting this restaurant we were greeted with a slogan on the menu quoting “We don’t just make you a meal, we give you an eating experience you will never forget.” However our experience wasn’t exactly that. The service here was slow and the milk for our coffee wasn’t delivered. The wine we ordered from the menu stated it was from New Zealand, however when we received the bottle it said it was a South African wine. The food though was delicious and we all enjoyed our meal, the bathrooms were clean and the restaurant was enjoyable but not quite “an eating experience that we would never forget” The restaurant has a lot to offer and for them to deliver on their slogan they need to improve on service and attention to detail
