Our FAVORITE meal in all of Malta!!!! There was literally nothing we could have asked for of this meal at Santini: the food was AMAZING, the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and funny, the chef/owner came out to visit, the atmosphere was chic/sexy/modern/romantic, and the wine was on point. Did I mention how amazing the food was? We started with Prosecco to clear the palate along with fried calamari as an appetizer. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano for dinner as well as the sous vide duck breast and prime rib beef along with grilled vegetables and a side salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and was so mouth watering. We topped the night off with a tiramisu and espresso with amaretto. We had our four year old with us and felt like we were regulars/family. Simone was a joy to be had and we hope when we come back to Malta to see him and the Santini staff again. Salut!

We went here for a nice dinner. We ordered rib eye steaks which is our favorite. We wanted it medium/rare. When we got it we saw that it was not medium/rare, we asked the waitress for a new one, and she was more than happy to get us a new one. The staff is very friendly and professional, we would highly recommend to eat here!

I have been to Santini twice and I took different food, both time I was amazed by their dishes. Fresh fish perfectly cooked, but nothing usual or boring, their menù is full of tradition and innovation and they take care of any details. The staff is very nice, friendly and kind.

I had a meal in this restaurant with my friends. They ordered pasta and had sizeable portions of remarkable quality for 7 euro. I ordered an octopus for dinner. It was good, except that, apart from the salad, I had only 12 pieces of octopus strips, which is definitely not filling at all, costing me 17 euro. I don't think it's the right destination for customers who enjoy a large plate full of delicious meat.

Our pasta is 160gr per portion and octopus comes with no salad but with seasoned mashed potates and costs 12€ and not 17€. I am sure you mistaken restaurant as things from you described does not belong to us.

Ordered food to be delivered as all restaurants are closed. The Pizza was ok, dough and base was good.
The ingredients did not appear to be fresh and there was not enough cheese.
Ordered dessert and instead of telling they maybe didn't have the sauce I ordered or just got it wrong. Sent the order, not difficult to get orders right or call to say we don't have.

Previous reviewers are correct, the place is really worthy. Everything was delicious and really fresh. They bring you some warm bread with home made butter mirth herbs, and some limoncello at the end, free of charge.
We had a couple of oysters, 2 different primi di pesce and shared in 2 a fresh fish of the day (spigola). Perfect ingredients, good serving. To die for.
The ambient is rather casual, with soft music in the background. Strongly recommended.

First night of our couples holiday and we found this gem third time lucky after not having a reservation on the first two attempts.
What a find!
Maybe because it’s a little further out, and tucked underground, perhaps why this place doesn’t top some lists when hunting restaurants reviews.
I can honestly say this is the best meal I’ve had in a very long time.
Duck, roasted potatoes, and Chenin blanc wine. Every aspect of the dish tasted brilliant, full of flavour and presented excellently. Other half had a pasta dish which I was I also fortunate to have a nibble of and was also superb.
Service was very attentive and I’ll be recommending this place to friends and family in the future.
Thanks for the wonderful meal.

Food was generally good although the paccheri lacked of flavour. The octopus with burrata was very good.
Service was very friendly and polite but it needs improvement.
Wait time to get any attention from the staff was way too long each time and even when prompted staff was very slow. The impression was that restaurant was under staffed.
Most requests had to be repeated 2 or 3 times before being actioned which eventually became a bit frustrating.
When the white wine of our choice ran out in the fridge, we were served a warm bottle of it, without asking whether we would be happy with it (which we would not have had we been asked).
Would like to go back and be able to give a higher grade but 3 appears fair for our experience on this occasion.

This was the first restaurant that we visited during our stay in Malta. After eating at different restaurants, I would say the meal we had at Santini was one of the best. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the tables are well spread out and there is a good selection to choose from on the menu. Friendly, pleasant staff and good service. The night we visited it was very busy and there seemed to be local people having a meal, which is always a good sign.

Really lovely food and wine, we had the duck breast and the pork belly. So delicious and the staff were really kind and attentive - serving us with plenty of bread and a complimentary limoncello to finish the meal. Would definitely recommend Santini to anyone fancying a lovely Italian meal in St Julians.

The restaurant is nice, genuine and serves very good italian food. Had an marvellous fresh Octopuss, Gorgonzola Bruschetta and Carbonara. Unfortunately the service wasnt the quickest and the meals had been adjusted for the british crowd with focus on quantities and fries to the second dishes instead of quality (e.g fresh pasta instead of a lot of spaghetti). Otherwise i would recommend it and hope they can increase their italian heritage some more.

This is a good quality Italian restaurant in a quiet backstreet of Saint Julians. It has a comprehensive menu and wine list and the service was very attentive. The only reason, and an important one, why I am not writing this as 4* is because staff did not follow Covid rules. While all the junior servers wore masks, both the principal servers wore their masks under their chins the whole time, even in close proximity to diners as they discussed the menus with them. This is not acceptable.

Good afternoon,
I am Marta and I am Spanish.
I was in Malta this weekend having dinner with friends in this restaurant and I thought it was wonderful.
We were treated very well, the food was exceptional; I had never tasted such delicious food and the fish, both the sea bass and the salmon were delicious.
We had a great evening, besides being surrounded by friends, Dario's treatment was exceptional (I'm sure his son Dario will be just as great when he grows up).
For us it was a pleasure to be there, we will be back for sure.
I have great memories of that night.

This is a family run Sicilian Restaurant that has recently been done up and upgraded to high standards (making the dining experience more enjoyable), yet retaining the family run atmosphere and good food.
The menu is wide and varied offering a good choice of antipasti, pasta and risotto, meat and fish mains and delicious home made desserts.
We were a family of four adults for Sunday lunch and we ate a mix of Pasta and Fish.
Parking is easy, up the road, at Portomaso Car Park, courtesy of Santini.

We ordered the lamb shank as well as a primitivo, the latter wasn’t available anymore so the somelier gave us another great wine that fit even better with the lamb shank. Probably the best lamb shank I’ve ever had, with lots of quantity and amazing quality. The staff is very welcoming and the chef who also seems to be the owner also came by to ask if anything was ok or if it needed improvement.
