Great experience, at my first visit I got a warm welcome from Alexandra and Dragica, it made me feel like being in Italy ! The food is delicious, a mix of Italian classics with a touch of Malta. The portions are huge, really good value for money, even the starter-portion was a good filled plate. I especially liked the bread with the appetizer based on olive oil and tomato pesto. The service is excellent, despite the fact that some evenings the restaurant was very busy, I never had to wait or to ask for something, the waiters were always around. When ordering the paccheri, the waiter Axel was so kind to bring me a portion of crisped guanciale, a real delicatesse. The view on the bay is relaxing and the tables are set up taking into account enough distance with the other guests. The staff is extremely kind, always in for a chat and a good laugh, and even bring the coffee to the smokers's corner. Thank you Alexandra, Draga, Axel, Monica and all the others who made me a repeated guest in this restaurant almost every evening.

WE had a lovely meal with good service and views over the sea. The restaurant was busy and well staffed whilst it felt they made an effort to keep people socially distant and safe. We eat here twice and had good experience both times.

We celebrated a birthday at li Palio. Johanna Vella Marshall organised everything. This was completely hassle free. The place if beautiful and the organisation was excellent. The service was impeccable and the food fantastic. Johanna communicated regularly during the arrangements. The event was a surprise and everything went without a hitch. The restaurant itself printed out the menus with the name of the event and even offered to print a photo of our choice on the menu.
We will treasure the memories of the evening there thanks to il Palio’s brilliant support

My family is a big fan of Palio's, especially in summer, when the open air venue is a lovely casual dinner spot. So this weekend was a disappointment when our expectations were not met. First, service: the serving staff is lovely and courteous but they were simply struggling to cope with the volume. More table staff is definitely needed. Second, food: Meat mains were good, but the pasta I was served was really poor. The amatriciana was dry, lacking sauce and flavour. I had to ask for more seasoning. The pasta itself was clearly precooked and reheated. This is definitely not acceptable for a Westin venue, more so when there is so much choice for a good plate of pasta elsewhere.

Whatever you do, do not order the Westin pizza. Worst pizza I’ve ever seen/eaten, the waitress even admitted she wouldn’t eat it and complained to the chef.
We also waited over an hour just to have our order taken, and many other diners told us they had the same issue. Clearly understaffed due to Covid, but they should be limiting bookings.

Expected more from a Westin in-house restaurant.
No one to meet or greet you from the roadside/hotel entrance. Had to navigate to where the tables were situated.
Service was overall quite poor, no one was attentive, we had to ask for more drinks, napkins, side plates etc.
Food was average. Had ribs which were far too coated in the bbq sauce, the carbonara was dry and the seafood pasta was scarce in terms of seafood.
Overall food was overpriced for content and service.
Let’s hope the other in-house Westin restaurants are better…….

Dining as a solo traveller is always an interesting experience and I always expect the unexpected. Some restaurants are very thoughtful about where they seat you and the speed and attentiveness of their service. The restaurant had obviously been thrown in to a little chaos with a very recent downpour. But from the moment I was shoved on the table to the side of the restaurant next to the table clearing zone/walkway for all the wait staff I felt like an after thought. The menu took ages to arrive and only then was I asked if I would like a drink and that was only because I instigated it.
The food however did make up for it, I over ordered and nearly cancelled my main as the small starter pasta was big enough for me for a main. My main of salmon was piping hot and beautifully cooked. Not as described as was supposed to come with asparagus and had broccoli instead but the flavours were delicious. I’d give this place a whirl one more time on the basis of that cooking but with the hope that these reviews are read and the service they offer to all guests is consistent.

Part of the Westin Dragonara Resort and only open a few nights a week in early May. It's a cavernous space in which the owners appear to have dropped in tables and chairs without giving a great deal of thought to other detail. Perhaps when the weather is better and they open up the outside space it might look a lot better.
The menu is a hybrid, Mediterranean, Italian brasserie style. The food is good and unpretentious. It's generally ok.

It’s the place to be if you’re looking for very good food, good value for money and a nice atmosphere. Visited with family and everyone enjoyed their food. We were happy to find a number of vegan options which were also delicious. Suggest to visit on a sunny day so you may also enjoy the sea view while having lunch in the outdoor area. Parking was also available for free at the hotel’s car park.

My husband and I came to Malta for our honeymoon. This restaurant associated with the Dragonara Resort was recommended for dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. My husband had the beef tagliata and said it was the best meal he had had in some time. My porcini tortellini was recommended by our waitress and it was absolutely delicious. The staff even celebrated a family's twin children's birthday while we were there. We highly recommend this establishment for any dining experience, be it a romantic dinner or a family gathering.

Have been going to the restaurant for ages, but the service gets worse everytime. Went for a Sunday lunch ordered a bottle of wine with the drinks and ended up never arriving throughout the entire lunch. Asked for it twice with the waiter and never got it. Food is always super but the service is terrible.

Whilst the food and atmosphere are great, the service is appalling. Half hour to get the wine served. Food half cooked to be returned to kitchen. Bill brought without being asked for, Halfway through the meal - whilst still enjoying the evening and before being asked for desert, coffee or liqueur! Train your staff please.

Fantastic setting by the waters edge, food wine and service were super. Although it was the end of September it was a relaxed 26°C at 9pm local time. This restaurant is only 3mins walk from The Westin reception and a worthwhile visit in our opinion

We booked for 16 persons for a family occasion and we really enjoyed it mainly due to the delicious food and cosy atmosphere. A big thanks goes to Aleksandra Joksic who ensured that all my requirements are met. Upon arrival we found a small table to put our cake on at no extra cost and since in the evening it started to drizzle we found the table set up both outside and inside for us to choose. Also I needed to add another cover at the last minute and we found table ready when we arrived.

We were staying at the Westing Hotel and had 3 dinners at Palios
My wife appeared to enjoy her meals but I was disappointed with all my dinners .
The worst meal I had was the B&C Burger which was dreadful I could only manage to eat half and left the rest .The meat was very dry and overcooked .
I did not complain as it would have spoiled our evening as my wife appeared to eat her meal without any fuss.
