Staying in an apartment on Church Street, we found this little gem on our first day of arrival in Malta. Havin been given a warm welcome by the owner as we stopped in for a drink, we decided to go back for dinner a couple of says later. So glad we did. The food here is clearly made with a lot of love by someone who absolutely loves what they do and knows what they like themselves. Words cannot describe how special this place is and just how lovely the whole experience was. The service is personalised and the decor and ambience of the restaurant is well thought out. If you are looking for lovely, then give this place a go..you will not be disappointed, we certainly weren't. The only disappointment is that we will have to wait until our next trip to Malta to eat here again.

We found this serene little restaurant outside of the area of lively bars and restaurants. The interior is simple, but very stylish at the same time and made with a good taste. Personnel were relaxed, but had high standard right from the start. All were very polite and very professional.
We asked Josef (the head of the "house") to recommend us both a main dish (and we refused to give him any help, like indicating our preferences) to introduce us Lebanese food culture. He did as requested and the outcome was wonderful! Very tasty food with a lot of fine flavors. I am not telling you the course, we had as it is better you go and find your favorites.
Josef and team, thank you so much for the great food and fantastic service and atmosphere.
Finally a word of warning: there is a high risk end up eating too much.

Stopped in here for a quick bite with my daughter for lunch while visiting St. Julians. It was the best meal I had in a long time. She loved the kids chicken nuggets and the Chicken Skewer was phenomenal. Added the order of pita and hummus to top it off and it was as fresh as I had ever had. The server was phenomenal, not only keeping an eye on us should we need anything, but also entertaining my little one while we waited for our food. Quick, filling, and absolutely delicious, with great service all for a wonderful price. You really can't beat it.

It's been a while since my taste buds were 100% satisfied 😋 finally authentic Lebanese food with so much flavour. Everything I tasted was exquisite being it the rabbit livers, beef cheeks or the lamb shanks, not to mention the finger licking dips 😋 excellent service and a choice of good wines.
Bravo...we shall be back !

Really enjoyed our first visit to Aft Galley during our holiday, and re-booked for a second time as we were so impressed. Being vegetarian, we were limited to pizza, pasta, or salad at most other locations. Aft Galley has a huge variety of hot and cold mezze which were all excellent. The falafels had an amazing crunchy coating and melted in the mouth. All the dips were amazing (we tried them all) but the shanklish was our favourite. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and attentiveness, felt like we were being looked after throughout. Well done team, keep up the great service.

Blending Maltese and Lebanese for “The Malbanese Experience”, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. From the creamy garlic hummus, to the perfectly grilled chicken and perfectly spiced appetizer and tabouleh salad, we savored each and every bite. The service was so friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed talking to the Maltese owner/host, the Lebanese owner/chef and our humorous UK born server. AND prices were reasonable! Highly, highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this place on our way back to the hotel from the beach and decided to go in for what we thought would be a quick drink. The hostess greeted us so warmly and her husband (the chef) came to offer us a complimentary appetizer, which was so delicious that we decided to stay on for dinner. What a treat that was!! We had the best chicken livers we’ve ever tasted and the dips were out of this world. The wine selection is also top notch and if like us, you aren’t that good with decisions, the hostess knows what she’s talking about ;) Cheers to you both and thank you for giving us the best evening we had in Malta.

Divine! What an explosion of flavours. Really enjoyed the different dips with the Arayyes, fallafel, Batata Harra and kibbeh.
The chicken livers are a standing ovation, cooked in a port reduction with caramelised onions. Just wow. If you are a meat of fish lover... The beef cheeks & the Octopus are a must. Two very different, mouth watering, warm, homely dishes served with love ❤️ They literally melt in your mouth. The Aft Galley Team Super well done! Keep up the great work. 10/10

We have visited Malta on a regular basis (pre pandemic) and this is our first trip since 2019.
What an absolute treat this restaurant is. From the time of booking, when we were told , they would look forward to “hosting” us, until the moment we left , we felt like it was their pleasure for us to be eating with them .
Our server was very helpful with food choices , only one of our party had eaten in a Lebanese restaurant before, so we needed a little assistance .
We ordered 6 mezze, a mixture of hot and cold, and also the main Mixed Grill. (There were 4 of us).
It was an absolute delight to eat. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection.
For dessert we had, what I can only describe as a warm Lebanese cannoli, and another traditional dessert , which was similar to a nougat with home made ice cream. It was all delicious.
A warm , inviting place to dine with an easy going ambience , just wonderful for an evening on your holiday or after work.

This small Lebanese restaurant is divine. The mezze dishes particularly the tabouli and kibbeh were excellent as were the arayes. The mix meat platter for two is incredibly generous and easily served four of us - as a Lebanese family, we found it authentic and really tasty.

Best place to eat and best vibe to gather.
The menu variety is very wide for all your dietary requirements.
I must give a big applause to the chef, the twists he created for certain dishes, made the taste more appealing and mouth-watering.
They also have a beautiful and unique selection of wine that any wine lover should get a chance to try. Also they have nice cocktails and drinks and mocktails (which we didn't try 🤣)
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and try their best to accommodate your needs.
I definitely recommend it whenever you're in Malta, though I would say make sure to book a table in advance (been few times and the place was always full)

We had a wonderful time here with exceptional food and excellent service! We were two adults and two children (8 and 11) and were all very well catered for. The youngest child is not the most adventurous with her food so we thought it would be safest to go for the chicken nuggets and chips on the children’s menu (the other option would have been pasta with white or red sauce). Even that plate was amazing, with succulent nuggets of proper chicken and moreish chips - it was a relatively large portion for an 8 year old so we all happily helped out!
The rest of us shared 5 mezze (all delicious, the sauce on the spicy chicken wings was particularly good) and a main of slow-cooked beef cheek which was so tender it almost melted in the mouth! In hindsight we would have ordered a little less food as we walked out groaningly full, but it was all so good it would be difficult to decide what to leave out!

What an utter delight to have visited and tried this venue. The food is of biggest quality and the menu is rich and meets all tastes. The final outcome is 100% lebanese and the food melts in your mouth to send the palate on a frenzy of gustatory pleasures. A wide range of drinks is on the go and staffs are brilliant and hands on checking on costumers. Will definitely try to squeeze in another visit in our week long holiday.

From the time you enter the restaurant the hosts are making your day better.By the time you get the starter,your tastes are awaken by a small dish from the house.
Someone said that if you spend just one day in Malta…this is the place to eat at least once.

We thought we’d give Lebanese a try and it was honestly the best meal we have ever had. It’s a small restaurant and we got the last table that evening. The chef / owner came and asked if we knew how the mezze menu worked and he spent time with every table. We had a selection of hot and cold mezze all of which were exquisite. I loved the hummus lamhe. The wine list was extensive and was decently priced. We chose the beef cheek for main course and it nearly made me cry, it was so delicious. This is a must-go-to restaurant.
