Staying in Noojee for two nights, we came here on the second and wished we had gone on the first as well. Great food selection and quality, friendly atmosphere. Huge portions, be warned... We could easily have shared one plate and eaten the same if...not more than we do at home!More

I’m sure this pub would be a great place to go on a quiet weekend however today was a complete disaster. Got there, ordered a bowl of chips with our drinks. Sat down and there were piles of plates outside which had a huge swarm...of wasps around it, the whole time we were there not one staff member came to clean it up. An hour later people who ordered full meals after us had eaten their meals and left. We asked the staff and were told our chips were 2 minutes away. Another 40 minutes passed and still no chips. There were three other tables outside who had also been waiting a very long time for food. There was no communication from staff as to what was going on and eventually they just stopped coming out all together. The one poor guy in the bar was getting hammered with complaints and had just had enough. We, along with a number of other people ended up just walking out with no offer of a refund or apology. I also had to ask for toilet paper and there was none so resorted to napkins. I’m a reasonable person but it was a VERY bad experience and I will never be going back.More

Recently ate here on a Saturday night. Its a bit 'catch as catch can' but the bar staff were friendly (even if they couldn't find the booking we had made earlier in the day), and the food was good pub grub. I had the bangers...and mash (always a winner with me, although the accompanying veggies at $4 weren't great) and partner had salmon (what else) which she seemed to enjoy. Outdoor dining was fine as we had the dog, along with many other diners, and I think it could get pretty rowdy later on _ sadly missed that. But we did enjoy itMore

Arrived with family and friends on a recent rainy Sunday- to our surprise a band was setting up for the day. At 12noon the fire place was in action and already a dozen people inside enjoying the warmth in this quirky Toolshed. We ordered drinks...and sat at the bar. I can’t say the older lady behind the bar was very welcoming and then her partner/husband mentioned -geez your early( wouldn’t that mean more money spent) tho we were in good spirits so we just shrugged it off then moved to our 12person table. After everyone in our group arrived we proceeded to order- meals came out fairly quickly and with everyone ordering differently on the menu it was very well executed. From Pablo prawns, cheese burger, Parma to Lamb & Rosemary Hot pot pie everything was excellent. The 3 piece band was fantastic, happy and lively which really created an exceptional afternoon- we literally spent 4-5hrs here.....it was 4years since I’d been here and it did not disappoint. Owners could be more welcoming as 1st impressions are everything.More

Drove out to the toolshed today with the intention to have a nice meal with a roaring fire. Walked in at 12.30pm on Saturday 10th to my surprise not very busy, bar tender not very welcoming. Had to find a table ourselves which was not...a big fuss, sit down decided what we would eat. Go up to the bar, i was second inline. Bar tender saw me and decided his friends who came up a minute or to after me where more important and proceeded with their order. Being so rudely ignored i walked out with my partner to the noojee hotel down the road where i had a much better experience in customer service. Will not be returning to the toolshed anytime soon and will be telling everyone about the terrible service.More

Having eaten here in the past and enjoyed the oversized meals, I took a couple of family members for lunch. We were the first lunch customers so expected fairly quick service. We each decided on the Seniors meals as the normal serves are huge. We...ordered two beef and one vegetarian lasagnas. These arrived after quite a long wait, with me expecting something freshly made. Sadly the pasta was overcooked and mushy - reheated from day before. The serve was also very small and skimpy with the meat sauce but reasonable in taste. On the side were far too many, if tasty chips (compensating on the cheap for tiny lasagna?) and an ok salad with a bit too much dressing. More fresher lasagna and fewer chips would greatly improve this meal. Dessert was chocolate cake (fudge) and sticky date pudding. The cake serve was twice the size of the pudding. The pudding looked as though it had been ripped away from a bigger one. No care at all in presentation. Both were served with pouring cream. Both desserts were tasty just let down by haphazard attitude of kitchen. I'm a local and will test the grapevine before considering going to The Toolshed again.More

The Toolshed has plenty of charm (perhaps a bit of a freshen up could be good). The meals and service were disappointing. It seemed that the staff, while doing their best were struggling to keep up, despite being fairly empty midweek. Our meals came out...disjointed. Waited 60 mins for the first 2 meals to come out, which the burger with chips was cold. Think the meals do a trip around the block enroute from the kitchen down the hill. Other 3 meals came out over the next 30 mins. Pork belly, parma and lasagna was actually quite good, but the side vegies cold and undercooked. 2hrs better spent enjoying the scenery instead of waiting for lunch. The menu should be restricted if the kitchen can't keep up.More

We stopped in at this restaurant on a day trip to Noojee and we are so happy we did. The staff are so attentive and friendly. We walked in to see a lovely open fire and the place is so interesting to look at. I...had a schnitzel and my partner had their ‘meat lovers’ Parma. Both were amazing! I chose garlic and mushroom sauce to go on mine and it was so tasty. Prices were very reasonable too. $27 for our meals and neither of us could finish them! I am so glad we stopped here! I even walked away with a jumper for the rest of the chilly day. We sat outside as we had our dog with us and they were more than happy for him to sit with us outside!More

Not sure, sorry, but they have the menus on their website so I’d try checking on there.

You will find dozens of bikes there, it's the lunch stop when travelling through those parts. Weekends are crazy with literally hundreds of bikes coming and going, go weekdays if you can, cheers Paul
