I took my family out for my Grandsons 27th birthday after hearing good reports. The first round of drinks came wrong and it went downhill from there. Three of us chose the lasagne which was unbearably salty. It was extremely hot and stuffy with the...air conditioning either turned off or broken! We skipped dessert and went onto the terrace for some air and ordered some more drinks which took so long to come I was on my way to cancel them when they arrived. When the bill arrived it included around £40 or drinks that we hadn't had. They rectified the mistake but could have easily paid without checking. Won't be repeating the experience!More

Came over for the night from Manchester and was told by our air bnb owner to try Guys. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and felt authentically Italian - I had lasagne and my boyfriend had a pizza. We both also shared mussels...and a garlic bread (we can put it away!). The waiters and waitresses were lovely. One of the more senior waiters in particular went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The young waitresses were friendly, smiley and attentive. We finished with two baileys as we didn’t quite have room for puds but if we’re ever back in the area we’ll be coming again to try more things on the menu! Thank you!More

We have been visiting Guys for social and family events for years including my own 21st Birthday, my Hen party, and many others. It really was one of our favourite places to eat. Tonight we visited for my daughter's 21st and can only day we...are bitterly disappointed. Food service was disjointed at best , pizza was undercooked, and we left without sweets or coffees as service was so poor. Sorry Guys we'll be eating elsewhere in future.More

Ate here on 26 Aug and had the most wonderful evening with my family. The staff from first arriving to leaving were outstanding, friendly, attentive and efficient. Talked about Florence with the Head Waiter/Manager who ordered us some garlic bread whilst we perused the menu....Both my wife and I decided on the halibut for main course which was plentiful, cooked perfectly and delicious. The children enjoyed the pizza and pasta a nd the desserts were divine, the best profiteroles I have had outside of Italy. A magical evening was had by us all and we are so glad we stumbled upon this gem of a place and restaurant (we were staying over the road from Guy's and hadn't researched the area before staying). Looking forward to coming back soon !More

Had 2 pub lunches at 12.95 each and thought both were just starter sized. 7 small pieces of scampi and a few chips hidden under a dollop of watercress. Chicken and chorizo kebab had just 2 pieces of chorizo. It all tasted ok but nothing...special for that price. I think you pay for the view of the canal to be honest.More

They need to take a look at the staff they are employing. Their attitude towards customers is not acceptable in my opinion The more people you talk to the same comments you are hearing. iI will not be going again

Attended the restaurant with my partner for our anniversary. We were expecting good things due to our last visit which was good. The food arrived at completely wrong times. The lasagna was burnt and the pasta was rubbery with hardly any meat in. When we...explaining this to staff they didn’t even acknowledge our dissatisfaction. Disappointed really. Don’t think I’ll be coming back.More

I have stayed there. Rooms in separate building at back. Very old and run down, unless they have renovated in recent times. I would stay elsewhere. There is a lie hotel up the road in Garstang with a golf course.
