Visited for Sunday lunch as a party of six and we were all really disappointed. The pub is lovely inside and the staff were very friendly but the food was awful. We had a mixture of beef and pork dishes; both meats were very very...fatty and the portions were small. For example I got three roast potatoes and two carrots! Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Fleece for food.More
We booked this pub for a post-walk lunch, having never been to the area before. We got a very warm welcome and as the restaurant was quite busy and we wanted a quieter place so we could chat, the lady in charge happily offered us...an alternative table in the bar - perfect! The service was really excellent all round and the food was similarly good. We had a variety of starters and main courses and the beef roast was particularly good. I would highly recommend this lovely pub; there was a variety of clientele in there on Sunday lunchtime so it had a very good atmosphere and the staff were working extra hard to make sure everyone got what they needed.More

Amazing Sunday lunch at the fleece! The staff were very attentive (especially Andy) even brought a blanket for the dog! There was lots of beef on the Sunday lunch and amazing Yorkshire puddings! Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed a great lunch with family at our local. We were a little late for our booking after our walk but this was not a problem for Emma and her team, all are always welcoming and accommodating. The fire was lit, cosy atmosphere, food excellent,...as was the service, served by Bogdan. We were not rushed at all. Left feeling very relaxed!More

The Fleece is our local and we feel so lucky to have it just a 5 minute walk down the road. There's always a warm welcome when we walk in, the fire is always lit in winter and there is a fabulous terrace area at...the front for drinks and dining in summer. Emma the general manager has put on some brilliant events since she has taken on the pub, such as live music on the terrace throughout summer, New Years Eve party, charity events and Meet The Brewer evenings with a bespoke menu and drinks pairings hosted by a local brewery. The quality of the food is excellent and there's always a choice between pub classics and the more premium, seafood inspired dishes on the specials. They have a good relationship with a well regarded fishmonger so the quality of the fish/seafood is exceptional. There's a great selection of wines, beers, premium spirits and cocktails. Emma is knowledgeable on her wine and has her little black book handy if you're ever after something a bit different! We always have a lovely chat and feel well looked after by the front of house team Andy, Bogdan, Michaela and Mike. We also love that there's the option to sit in the cosy bar area if you just fancy a few drinks away from the dining area. The Fleece is definitely our happy place since moving to Addingham 4 years ago and we love taking friends and family down there when they visit us.More

Called in for a coffee after walking my old Fox Terrier on a very cold wet morning. Ended up sat by the log burner and warning up with a lovely mug of coffee and then smelt food 😊 Had just a starter dish of lovely...crispy Calamari with an Asian Coleslaw. It was the best Calamari I have had in a long time. Very very tender and a lovely fresh spicy coleslaw. Well worth calling in for a light brunch and getting warm. Both of us. Thank you.More
Hi Issie H Thanks so much for your great comments and review. We are really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your coffee and calamari. We look forward to welcoming you back one day soon. Kind regards Sarah Fleece Reservations team
At last a pint of black sheep bitter rare as hens teeth these days,The food and service were as we remembered (excellent). It’s always a pleasure to dine here will be back soon
Lovely cosy pub with super friendly and helpful staff who were really accommodating for our dog. Food was brilliant, we got the fish and chips and a chicken pot pie, both delicious and big portions! Great for a toasty winter evening with the fire going.
Visited tonight after seeing good reviews on here. we’d booked in advance. Arrived on time but stood in the bar being ignored for a solid 5mins. Someone behind the bar actually walked passed us and went and sat down chatting to her colleagues. When we...did get sat down we got told who our server was but 15mins passed and no one came. We finally managed to order drinks which took another 10mins and then 10mins after that we managed to order food. We did order another drink but it never arrived and it was on the bill so we had to ask to remove it before paying. Bogdan was friendly throughout and he did make a good impression but not much else was good. We did leave a tip to show some appreciation. The menu looked good and plenty of choice online but unfortunately that wasn’t the case tonight. Loads of dishes were either sold out or unavailable and it was only 6.30pm. We could order salmon fish cakes or the fish pie. We even tried to order a non alcoholic Peroni and none of those available either. Starters of chicken liver wasn’t great. Squid was very fresh but the salt and pepper coating was far, far too salty and we like salt but that was something else. Garlic bread was pretty measly and looked a little burnt. Mains of katsu chicken was nice. Korean chicken burger was nice although the bread was rock hard like it had been warmed/toasted too much. The steak pudding was nice but not much meat. The brisket and chorizo pie was tasty. The service at the start really didn’t help the meal get off on the right foot, then when loads of stuff was unavailable that didn’t help either. Some of the dishes were place some not great at all. Overall disappointed and Won’t be going back.More
Met up with a large group of friends on Christmas Eve for drinks and nibbles. We sat in the bar area which was lovely and cosy. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Really love this pub and will definitely return for food.
Good Morning, Thanks for celebrating Christmas Eve with us! We're glad you enjoyed the cozy bar, friendly staff, and nibbles. We can't wait to have you back for food soon! Kind Regards Matt The Fleece
Lovely pub where we have eaten several times in the past. Today we took our family and the standards have slipped hugely since our last visit. Firstly, we were charged £3.95 for a pint of lemonade and £2.70 for lime and soda which is excessive....The food arrived - portions were small. The gammon was cut far too thinly and was a small portion and it arrived with about 15 chips and 2 eggs. The garnish was a token gesture of greenery (no tomoto etc) , no peas - just literally gammon, egg and chips for £16.95! We ordered apple strudel for dessert which was described as “puff pastry”. The strudel had been microwaved so not only was it not warm but the pastry was soggy - at £8.95 this was very disappointing and so it was returned to the kitchen. On payment of our bill a 10% charge had been added which we asked to be removed as prices were already highly inflated compared to the amount and quality of food We’ve been left disappointed and feeling a little ripped-off. This used to be one of our favourite pubs but I doubt that we will ever return.More
Huge thanks to Emma, Andy and especially Bogdan for our Muga Christmas party on Saturday night. The whole experience was great; food top notch, excellent drinks and the space to dine, drink and dance was beautiful. Thanks again to Bogdan, nothing was too much trouble...for him. Happy to Christmas to you all xxMore
