What a delightful repertoire of antipasti we got served for lunch at the Albergo Minieri today. The restaurant has a new panaramaview and delicious antipasti from the region with use of regional products. The dishes were inspiring, creative and fresh. Included wine, water and coffee...50 euros for 2. Incredible!! Also a very nice service. A true Italian Piemontese family restaurant.More

Me and my wife was invited for dinner by our German friends during their visit in Valchiusella ( I was their guide ). The Hotel Miniere offered an excellent dinner ( 4 courses )with local products with good wine and charming service. They were very...happy ,although their standards were quite high: they are used to visit the best places in Swiss, Germany and all over Europe . So, thumbs up! Thank you!More

We had a nice outdoor diner on the cute square with friends. The tagliolini with porcini was excellent like last time. Did have the overall impression it was slightly less great then our last visit 2 years ago.

Visited this rural idyll with 8 Italians. They encouraged me to have the seasonal menu which in October was a 'mushroom' feast. Every course involved or included mushrooms in some form or other. I'm not a mushroom expert but the flavours were amazing and the...quantity of food was exemplary. Service fast and efficient though not too fast. House wine perfectly acceptable.More

Being late I decided to stay overnight in the nice Valchiusella even if only two hours from home. Only one hotel, Miniere, good reviews. Found a room, ok. I realise a wedding party going on and inquire about a possibly noisy night: NO WAY, no...problem, the party on the lower floor reassures me the kind owner. Well, completely wrong!!!! The party is very noisy and my night in the mountains completely spoilt. The place looks nice but beware of the noise. Restaurant very good but heavy in oil and butter.More

In the Miniere you can find the real piemontese cuisine, sometimes slightly changed with some degree of skill. I suggest the "tagliolini ai funghi", "lumache alla diavola" and the "sfera", probably one the best desserts in my life. I'd give 4.5 stars only because: 1)...the freisa wine, which isn't amazing, 2) the appetisers, though they're extraordinarily tasty, are really too tiny (and far too expensive). We paid 50€ per person. Do try the sfera! It is really worth it!More

Happened on this place by chance although we knew the area 40 years ago. We had the special menu "Il prato nel piatto" which is "field on a plate". This incorporated herbs and plants found in the mountains and high meadows in spring. Sensational flavours!!...Service very good and a great wine list at very reasonable prices. A great and unexpected experience.More

Very good food, presented with harmony and elegance. You can eat all kind of food, meat, fish, rice, pasta and gnocchi, all reminding of Piedmontese tradition. Cakes are fab! The waiter was very kind and looked after us during all dinner without being annoying. We...will come back for sure!More
