A very nice place for a slow lunch. Nice food and a good service. Happy hour for cocktails just in time after a long lunch. Highly recommended.

My partner and I did not try out the place right away since we will be having our breakfast here everyday but since there were only few options to dine in the area, we just decided to try to have dinner here. After our experience in Bamboo Cafe, we did not go outside just to have dinner as we really liked the food here and we're so glad we've tried it as it didn't disappoint us. It may be a little bit expensive but it is worth every penny. We liked everything and the food were prepared well. The best part is to have people who are very attentive to all your needs and who are very professional in dealing with guests. Just because there were few eating places outside we have to be here. The resort is very secluded. you have to dine or lunch here unless you go out for another visit to an attraction.
We like it at the sunset bar after dining at this bamboo cafe. it is comfortable and breezy there.

Staying at the resort you are very limited as to where to eat, as there is little outside the resort or nearby.
Having said that, the food offered by the café is quite good, and the range offered is quite good too. Breakfast is probably the poorest meal they do, as the offerings are limited, and trying to get a piece of toast is like getting blood out of a stone. The bread is so small, and there is no proper toaster. only a toaster over.
That aside the menu for lunch/dinner we found quite good, and the dishes we tried were all good or very good.
Service can be a little slow depending on what you order, but generally, it was quite good.

There is not much special in the menu. Food is quite pricey. Food selection is limited to Filipino dishes, pasta and pizza. Wine per bottle is quite cheap though. Best time to wine and dine before sunset as the view is spectacular from the restaurant.

During our stay in Mangodlong this is where we ate Merienda, Dinner, Midnight Snack and Breakfast.
First for the Merienda. I ordered their Halo Halo and requested for it to brought to the room. After a few minutes it was brought to the room. The Halo Halo was priced at P180. A bit pricey but this is a resort and the serving was big. It was just okay. Nothing to rave about.
Dinner meanwhile was a surprise. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Lapu Lapu and Kinilaw. Was sooooo surprised with the Kinilaw. I thought i would not like it because it had coconut milk but it was delicious. The Lapu Lapu was sooo good too.
For Midnight Snack (it was actually an extra order which i asked our waiter to bring to the room) i ordered the Paradise Burger and the Tanghon Guidado. The Paradise Burger was Very Good. The Tanghon Guisado also.
Breakfast Buffet meanwhile was good. The choices were limited but the taste was good.
If you just plan on staying at the resort you will not go wrong with eating at the Bamboo Cafe. Prices maybe higher compared to the other food places but the quality is very high. Service was great too.

We had breakfast lunch and dinner at this restaurant. It a lovely spot around the pool and constructed in a native thatching so very atmospheric.
Breakfast was a simple and basic buffet. Not a lot of choices but I guess it does the job.
Lunch and dinner we tried several different dishes and the quality varies. The Chicken Parma I ordered has barely any cheese or tomato paste and my burger lacked any salad (no supply).... otherwise meals were of an ok standard.
As an overall experience I could only give it 3.5 stars but as there is no such ranking I can only give it 3 stars. Still one of the better restaurants in the area with more choices in their menu.

This resort is four years old with the brick floored restaurant having nipa thatching as its roof and a lovely ambience.
Tables are well spaced. Service was excellent with trainee Louie efficient.
The two pizzas we enjoyed on different nights were properly cooked, served hot and very tasty and filling. P300 was a typical price.
The banana shake used ripe bananas and hence was pleasing to the palate.
The outlook over the infinity pool to the sea was great, watching the sunset being a particular highlight.
The lack of mosquitos and flies added to the enjoyment.

We were staying at lovely Madgodlong Resort for 3 nights and dined frequently at the Bamboo Bar Restaurant for Breakfast and Dinner.
Menu was very extensive with a variety of choices to suit most tastes.(Filipino, Italian and Western Meals are on offer)
There are 3 other resorts located next to Madgodlong Resort which I considered for dining options:
1.Coco Grove wasnt offering dinner dining at the time as the chef wasnt there. If it was a simple meal reception said the assistant would cook our meal. I decided to pass on that offer.
2. Bano Resort looked in disrepair with long grass so very uninviting.
3.Madgodlong Rock Resort had a quite small menu with limited choices.
Based on the lack of alternatives, the convenience factor, the lovely ambiance of the native structure and being located around the pool area and an extensive menu this Cafe was my main choice for dining during my stay.
Service has obviously improved a lot since the last review as I had reasonably quick service for meals and staff were very attentive and friendly. Im pleased to say that there is now no loud tv so management seem to have acted on previous feedback.
Actually we made great friends with many of them and in particular we had the smiling face of Jeren for our breakfast and dinner.
Within walking distance I found this to be the best option.

We dined for dinner on 21 August. It was a family trip to Camotes Island. We ordered sausages, and i believe some pork barbecue. Food was not on par to restaurants we have dined on hotels or resorts. The sausages were a bit oily and pasta was not that great. We also had breakfast the next day. And they got these thin hotdogs in some kind of sauce. We end up ordering bacon ala carte for our son. Credit card machine was not connected also in the morning had to pay cash. Plenty of room to improve in breakfast. I hope they serve Filipino favorites too.

We had stayed at Mangodlong paradise resort so we ate at the Bamboo café
The food was excellent. However the service was very slow - we had to call the attention of waiters a few times before they took our order. And it was very noisy - with a tv kept on loud and noisy guests.
Hence, we decided it was better to just order in our room.
I hope the resort keeps the tv on a low volume (we requested them to do so, they said yes, but did not do anything!) so that the place gets a better ambience.
By the way, the view from the restaurant is rather good - of the infinity pool, and the beach and the sea beyond
