not so easy to find because it seems it's inside a private place, when you enter, the place is not so beautiful, owner and chef are not italian even if they cook italian dishes, i ordered a cotoletta di maiale a bit expensive for me...600 pesos with that price i can eat it in makati and without any side dish, no fries, no mash potatoes or whatever at least they gave me pita bread with olive oil, the salad was with really big leaves normally they cut it and no ranch dressing, anyway the food is not bad, better than other fake italian restaurants who have only the name ItalianMore

Thank you so much for leaving us a review and actually giving us a positive review on our Italian cuisine!! As for our location, we are along Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway. There is a huge Roman style arc, and Flyving V gas station along the highway, which...More

The pizzas we had- quattro formaggi and one with meat on it (forgot the name) - were good. In fact it was slightly above average. The antipasti we had was excellent - grilled vegetables with pizza bread. I had the spaghetti mezzanotte which would have...been better if the pasta were a bit more fresh. Maybe it was because the pasta was reheated. The risotto porcini was tasty but the consistency was a a little dry. Maybe because they used ordinary rice. Risotto should be made with special rice varieties like arborio and carnoroli. While it was a bit of disappointment I was glad there are restaurants like Il Gallo Nero trying to excel in Italian cuisine.More

Recently stayed at Alfonso hotel and enjoyed a delicious meal at the Il Gallo Nero restaurant, the pizzas are lovely with a delicious crispy crust. Also had a lovely italian chicken dish. The restaurant also has a large selection of worldwide wines. And is a...nice quiet place away from the main street to enjoy dinner and the beautiful sunsets of Tagaytay.More

we had fun even when if we had to add more to their basic breakfast & we had to go to the lobby (near the parking area) to access the wifi. Our room smell quite damp and old but the staff were accomodating even late...at nightMore

The price of their pizza makes this pizzeria average. If it is not pricey, I would rate it as very good. The place is in Alfonso thus, it's a little bit far from Tagaytay yet close to Twin Lakes. If you want a more private...place, visit this place. It's a small pizzeria attach to Alfonso Hotel. You can also stay in the hotel.More

I have eaten there a couple of times and would thoroughly recommend it for "Italian" style dining. Good food reasonably priced. Enjoy - I did!

I love Italian food. The pizzas in this place are amazing . Caesar salad is great! However I ordered a carbonara pasta that did not have flavour at all..it was bland and it had ham instead of bacon. .. Please improve the white pastas sauce...and I will give u 5 stars!! service is great!More

Went on A Thursday night thinking the place would be quite but I was mistaken. 8 people in our party worried that we might not be able to get a table. Luckily Pipo the owner gave us an option to sit in his overflow area...that has a feel of a private room for our family. We had 3 kinds of Pizza with the most perfect crust, couple of caesar salad with fresh made dressing and Pasta which my 6 year old daughter had 1.5 giant servings. All orders came under 15 minutes The service was attentive and even Nayori Pipo's wife came to say hello. A true Italian restaurant run by family. This is a place we will frequent if we are in Tagaytay great food and very reasonable prices for the quality and service.More

I fell in love with this place the first time I went here with some classmates because of the friendly staff and incredibly delicious food. I returned after a few months later with a friend and the waitresses even remembered me. Also got to chat...with Pipo, the owner, who shared the table and stories about his business and stay in Japan. I love recommending this place to friends because they loved it too. Thumbs up to the Pipo, the cooks and the waitresses. They'll definitely make you feel at home while you get your fill of great Italian food. Here's something I wrote after my first visit. Il Gallo Nero is the third of three restos I wrote about. http://dallydd.wordpress.com/2010/07/20/food-tripping/More
