Pizza was delicious, Delicate Fish was delicious, Beefsteak with Ruccola (Tagliata di manzo con rucola) was incredible and accompanied by fantastic local fine wine.
Local white wine, shrimp and prawn ravioli, fresh tuna perfectly prepared, limoncello for dessert, attentive wait staff-very nice evening!
Lovely restaurant and great food. Went here twice during our stay as our hotel was next door. Pizza and pasta dishes good as well as meat dishes. Good price and good service. Our favourite restaurant in Sestri. Do book in advance though as popular.
Il Capriccio di ciccio is located in Sestri Levante and is a couple of streets from the promenade. It has outside seating but we opted to dine in the back semi closed terrace. Although ambiance is not great we were here for the food. The...menu is not extensive, but the place was mostly made up of Italians and that is always a good sign. Service is also very good. Now for the food. Six of has tried different items. We had seafood salad (insalata di mare), spaghetti with sea food (spaghetti ai frutti di mare) all very good. My favorites were an excellent tagliata di tonno, 10 or 12 thin slices, cooked as it should be, pink in the middle, and the taglierini nero polpetti. this is a local pasta served with squid ink sauce and seafood balls. Prices are very affordable as so are the wines. This is a very good restaurant serving good honest food at fair prices and good service.More
We enjoyed three dinners at this restaurant. We would have dinned 5 times, but they closed for two nights. The staff is very friendly. All three dinners were great. The restaurant is cozy. Wish this restaurant was back home!

Definitely worth a visit to this restaurant. For 3 nights during a week's stay we went to this restaurant, as it was part of our pre paid dinner deal we had with a holiday we had booked with a travel company,and we were not disappointed....Staff very friendly and helpful, and the food we were offered on each of our trips, Mon, Wed and Fri nights during the week we stayed was different each time and so good. The black squid ink pasta amazing!! The tuna carpaccio melt in the mouth delicious. We arrived one night very late and they still greeted us with smiles and took us to our "usual " table! Could not get into our first choice restaurant so tried here on recommendation. So pleased that we did. Lovely friendly welcome. Seemed to be a number of local people eating which is always a good sign. Service was very good. Food was excellent. No English...spoken but our broken Italian sufficed! Well worth the visit.More
As we annually visit Sestri and stay in Hotel Genova (which is next door) Il Capriccio di Ciccio is on our must visit list. The food ( with a great variety from pizza to pasta and sea food etc) is always quite delicious. Staying next...door we cannot yield to the tempting smell of the pizza and end up ordering at least one to share along with other plates. The house wine and the Farinata are truly a must. The service is friendly and efficient though you might have to wait a bit since it's over packed mostly. I'd recommend reservations during in - seasons.More
We went here twice, first time it was packed, second time only a few clients and no pizzas available. On both occasions the food was good and staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices too. Plenty of Italian clients.
Learning we had an hour to our next train, with stomachs growling, we walked to find this cute restaurant near the train station. The friendly staff brought us delicious pizza and wine in record time while locals were engaged in fine dining. Grazie!!!
We went to this restaurant which is located next door from our hotel. We had the best sliced tuna ever and for a very reasonable price. The restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the lady was very helpful.

My wife and I had a lovely fish dinner here based on recommendations by Portobello B&B owners. We got excellent service, great food and even a discount on an extremely reasonably priced restaurant.
