We have just spent 2 nights at the Chequers and can't wait to return. The food was excellent and generous with a plentiful selection, not just dinner but also for breakfast, and a lovely garden location for drinks or meals in this beautiful weather. It...is obviously a very popular location and deservedly so. We were made very welcome.More

Went to The Chequers for lunch - my favourite place to eat out! Fabulous Tabouleh salad followed by ice cream and delightful mini treats. A special mention for Alice who reserved me a super table in the Bakehouse - thank you Alice! All the staff...are lovely and friendly which just adds to the beauty of this wonderful pub/restaurant. Thank you for your excellent service. I’ll be back soon!More

We chose the Chequers to have our wedding day there, and I know people always say it but we literally did have THE BEST DAY! We would like to say a big thanks to Jo and her team for their hard work. Jo was so...understanding about all the changes especially with the covid 19 pandemic and restrictions. The garden was perfect to relax in and play some garden games prior to eating! Everyone commented on the amazing food (some of the best they said they have ever had) and the excellent attitude and service of your staff 👏 Just brilliant. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😁More

Ate here on a Sunday evening in June Lovely pub very comfortable and a great menu with a lot of choice. My husband had a cheese soufflé which he said was delicious, and I hade a wonderfuly tasty pate. To follow we both had a...chicken and bacon salad with sauté new potatoes and hubby changed those for sweet potato chips. Shame we are only holiday but we do stay in the area every year so we will return next time. Lots of parking availableMore

We visited with friends for our wives' birthdays. We were well received in a comfortable restaurant setting. The menu was wide ranging and we were very satisfied. All precautions were taken and we had an enjoyable evening out.

We turned up on a whim at 1130 on a Tuesday morning and decided we wanted lunch here, I’d not been for 10 years or so but remember it being wonderful. The pub was not due to open for another half an hour and I’m...sure we were being presumptuous and an inconvenience but the staff did not let on, instead we sat outside and had drinks brought to us which was lovely. The food was sensational and surprisingly reasonably priced. My wife is a coeliac and we were delighted to see the menu already had the gluten-free options marked on, including which dishes could be adapted. I had the pie of the day which was a hand-raised gut buster of a thing and probably the best pie I’ve had for 5 years or so, my wife had a beautiful looking sea trout as the fish of the day. We both had puddings which were sublime. The front of house staff were genuinely friendly and did a cracking job of making us feel welcome. Could not recommend the Chequers more to be honest.More

Plenty of outdoor seating for an all to rare warm evening. Menu is very much a typical pub food offering with plenty of traditional favourites to suit all the family. Quality of the food is also very much pub standard. Only letdown was the “Double...cheese bacon burger which whilst looking impressive was very disappointing due to the dry tasteless burgers used which had a definite “reheated” taste.More

Another fantastic meal at The Chequers at Woolsthorpe. This is our all time favourite place to come for a meal. We have even had our wedding here. The hospitality and service provided is wonderful. The food is always mouth watering and the pub is so...clean. Massive points go to the lovely bar manager on Sunday evening who made our table of 6 the best Pornstar Martini I have ever had! Thank you again and cannot wait until we come back for our next meal! PS - PLEASE EXTEND SUNDAY ROASTS TO ALL EVENING - GUTTED I MISSED OUT ON MY ROAST BEEF! </3 Thank you again Jo and Team :D The Lawson's xMore

I asked for my meal to be changed as I didn’t like a certain ingredient. The pub said that they would change it and take out the ingredient after an eye roll. Later that evening I was poorly with sickness and diarrhoea. I only ate...here. Could just be a coincidence but I won’t be in a hurry to go back.More
