Great stop while in the City. We really enjoyed sitting at the bar and enjoying our meals. The fish and chips was really delicious. The bartenders were entertaining and friendly. Worth the stop

Highly recommend this place 👌 I had the melted white cheese and the ribeye. My friends had the chicken salad, lamb chops and the pork belly. Everything on the menu was delicious we will be dining here again 👍 it’s not too expensive and is worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a casual and gastronomically great meal. We went two nights in a row because we brought our adult kids on the second night. We ordered several things from the menu and they were all fantastic. It’s in a high end food hall so you order and pay and then find your own table. It is prepared quite fast. The food is prepped and plated like an upscale restaurant and the value is good (for Iceland).

Krost is in a wine and food hall but don't think your mall food court. This is gourmet food. The location was very convenient to our hotel. We wanted something quick and easy after walking around Reykjavik all day. The food was fantastic! Beautiful presentation, large portion and just wonderful. Seating inside is available at large shared tables or single bar stools. The wait for the food was not long. We were there on a Friday early evening. You will get a buzzer to pick up your food and bring it back to your table. Per the website, you can also order take out. Definitely highly recommend.

Our meals were perfectly prepared, meat cooked to order and well seasoned. Service was friendly and helpful. I had ribeye and my sister had lamb. We thoroughly enjoyed them. The prices were very good and we liked the food hall atmosphere.

We went to this place for dinner twice. It's a great place, only room, but inside there are several restaurants that offer different restaurants and cuisines, including Italian pizzeria and ice cream parlor and one inside can sit freely where he wants and order where he wants. We ate very well, prices average Iceland, so for us Italians not very affordable.

It can be difficult in Reykjavik to find a restaurant that balances good food, reasonable prices and energetic atmosphere. Kristin achieves that balance because I never pretends to be anything it is not: great dining in a food hall with local food ingredients and flavors that pop. We ate at the bar, you can also order to take to table. Menu changes a bit but always local fresh. Stop by you won’t be disappointed. Cod, lamb, shrimp all hit the mark.

Krost offers an unforgettable dining experience with its amazing food. The salmon was perfectly moist, complemented by a spectacular flavor profile from the accompanying vegetables and sauce. Additionally, the beef burger paired with cheese dip was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. I’d rate it a solid 10/10!

What a great evening! Many little eateries to choose from in this location where there are trestle tables but also spaces at the bar area of each outlet. Old and young mingle over different food types including tacos, pizza, steak and Japanese to name a few. You order from wherever you like and get a buzzer which goes off when your food is ready to collect. My partner and I chose Krost, sat at the bar and were not disappointed.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful with the menu choices as my partner is gluten free and they checked each item in his chosen dish to confirm it was gluten free. The wine pairing was amazing, atmosphere very convivial and the food was absolutely outstanding!!
Highly recommend a visit here as it’s worth every krona whatever you choose!

Absolutely loved this restaurant and I’m so upset we found it the day before leaving. The restaurant is located in a food market offering great quality food in a very relaxed environment. I had the cod which was delicious and my partner has the steak which was beautifully cooked. I’m dying to come back!

Me and my friend had a great night at Kröst. Food was excellent had oven-melted white cheese for starters my god it was delicious, main course lamb which was perfect 👌 I highly recommend you try it out. P.S Kröst beer is very good

I really want to review the Hlemmur food hall, which contains Krost restaurant (and five or six others under the same roof. The food hall (Matholl) seems to be a feature of central Reykjavik, as there are several.
Several food outlets and bars are clustered around a central area with tables and chairs. You arrive, get a drink, wander round the different menus on offer, order your food and get a beeper which flashes when your meal is ready.
It's ideal for a group of friends - one wants pizza, one wants fish and chips, one wants Vietnamese - no problem. You order and pay for your own choice, but all eat together round the same table.
Not fine dining, but great fun.
Maybe there should be a space on TA for this kind of experience - or have I missed it?

We were 2 friends having a night out. Tasted teh Kröst beer which was so good. We had the melted cheese for starter and I had the Cod and my friend hd the lamb. The cod was vert fresh and tasty I loved it. The lamg was tender and the potatoes were roastd - the best lamb she has had ever. I 100% recomend Kröst if you are in Reykjavik.

We wanted a restaurant with great lamb chops reviews. we read about Krost but at first we were hesitant that it would be overcooked, inferior quality food court food. But, we decided to go for it based on the reviews. WOW! By far, the BEST lamb chops we’ve ever had. Excellent presentation, perfectly done, absolutely delicious. Gourmet food in a casual setting. Incredible wine list! We returned three times! Highly recommend!👍

Loved the food and the service. We had Melted White cheese and Honey glazed pork Belly for Starters and Grilled lamb and Chicken Salat for main course. Loved the lamb!!! And the sauce was perfect. The Salat was soooooo good!!!! And the portion size perfect for adults. We tasted theyr beer called "Hlemmur" and had a few :) it is good. Love the food and the surroundings. We will go there again!!!! My walled loved it ;)
