The food was average and the staff acted friendly only until we had to pay: the bill was 21 euro for 2 plates (hummus, soup and beef in tomato sauce)?! The atmosphere was awful, inside the meet market with the view of dead paultry. We...More

Pleasant retro feel, as if you've stumbled upon a former version of Athens. The very welcoming staff and (apparently) owners, also enhances this time travel feel, and so is the food. Typical grandma's recipes, very well cooked. Nice house red and good prices.

The food was tasty and good to be honest. The restaurant is inside the meat market with only artificial light. I pay 15 euro for one plate and a beer. It is pricy for the location and food. Not a good value for money, this...More

The food was amazing and very reasonable prices. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Such great find in a meat market in the heart of Athens.

Really worth a visit if you just landed-i wasn’t so sure about the price though (Tripadvisor marks its as “cheap eats”-don’t think it was cheap). The food all seems home made and it was truly lovely, try to get different things and everyone share if...More

Very good soups, you have to try them at least once while in Athens. Liver soup is great, you will love it!

My brother in law and I had not one bowl, but two bowls of their famous patsas (tripe soup). It was delicious, nutritious, and filling. I would have gone there again, if we had stayed in Athens more. It is located in the center of...More

Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is
grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from
the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its
underground stalls, the square is now mostly
frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The
most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set
off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually
coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a
