The best Greek cousine in Athens. It offers Greek traditional home made dishes, cooked in the oven, Grill, Pot. Fully Recommended!!

We found this restaurant by chance as we were walking down the busy and crowded shopping streets at Syntagma. We veered off into a quiet lane and thought the restaurant looked cosy and traditional. What a great pick! The service was warm and the food...More

I was wandering the streets of Athens and wanted a quiet local spot. I happened down a short street and there it was. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, and I enjoyed sitting outside watching the world go by. Highly recommend it, ask how they...More

This traditional restaurant is next to another wonderful american style restaurant (called BRISKERS) at Perikleous 30 street, near Syntagma. Exactly like Briskers, Olympos has a great quality and good prices. I don't know if the two restaurants belong to the same person (they are next...More

Simply the best you can find in Athen, the owner speaks almost every conceivable language, fresh home made food, kind staff and quiet location near the main Street

Not much to look at, but really good food and inexpensive. We had the dishes which were pre-prepared in daily batches, which to me seemed like great Greek home-cooking. Not fancy, just tasty. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, which was extensive....More

We found this by mistake, as we wanted to get out of the madness of the city centre. We had a nice lunch here. The taverna seems family owned and I agree it is a bit worn out - but it was packed with locals....More

Nice food with friendly staff and fair prices... Looks like a place for locals based on most customers eating non-meat dishes on Easter Wednesday. Not a tourist trap.

It seems a typical Greek family business. Nice welcome by the owner. Good variety of greek dishes but comparetively expensive. House wine very mediocre! The waitress was very nice and forthcoming. We shall not visit again, given that there are so many excellent Greek Restaurants...More

I came there by mistake. ;-) Interior design was old, the name did not tell me anything. But it was one of the best cheap restaurants I have visited in Athens. Great food for about €10 (sic!). Thank you!

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is
Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament
building on its upper side and surrounded by other
large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande
Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia
are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like
the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia
Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
