Food, based on Greek cuisine mainly, was tasteful and reasonably priced. Beers on tap not in great variety. Greek microbreweries and Czech and Irish breweries. Beers in a bottle numerous. Service ...feeling a bit overwhelmed by the afternoon heat😥.

I think that Barley Cargo is the number 1 place to visit in order to enjoy beer in Athens. That is because it has a very wide selection of beer labels, the beers on tap rotate frequently, the food is of good quality (and works...More

This beerhouse has one of the largest beer catalogues that I have seen. From traditional greek small brewery labels, to international well known labels. You would need about one month to taste them all!

I stumbled (not literally) into Barley Cargo by just walking around, and thought the place had a very cool vibe from the outside. After grabbing a Gulden Draak from their one of many selections of draft beers, I decided to make my stay there longer...More

My partner and I visited on a Friday evening in March and were both impressed by the selection of beer. We bought 4 beers each and spent €45 so comparable to English prices. We found the service a little slow but overall it was a...More

Wide selection of local and international brews. Welcoming and fast in service. Greek way to pub food: good and at reasonable prices. Nice music playlist.

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is
Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament
building on its upper side and surrounded by other
large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande
Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia
are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like
the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia
Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
