Was in town, and why not local fish and chips. Awesome, absolutely Blo--y awesome. Obviously local fish, cooked to perfection. Well priced, and when you're in the "outback" you're never sure what quality you get? Anything is good, but this was very good!
On the road 10 weeks now out of Melbourne - ‘Gobble N Go’ recommended by Post Office as having the best coffee (and fish & chips) in town. What a surprise for first time since leaving the ‘big smoke’, actually was asked whether I would...like a “double-shot” in my flat white. Very impressed with the coffee flavour and expertise of my knowledgeable barista - in an unassuming, “off-Main Street” cafe. Worth seeking out and supporting this business. $5 for double shot takeaway.More
Had our reservations when we walked the couple of km from the caravan park through the hot and dusty streets of Normanton to get here for lunch, but it was well worth it. Delicious barra burger with fresh salad and bun. Kids loved their fried...chicken as well and were worried about the black kites stealing it from them on the way backMore
Gobble and Go was my favourite stop in Nomanton when I was there a couple of years ago.
Dropped in lunchtime on Easter Monday and pleasantly surprised to find them open. Both chose the Barra Burger and went for battered. Great salad with it. Good...bun and beetroot. Hit the spot after a 5 hour drive. Happy to see place was every bit as good as I remember.More
This little cafe is out of the way - but worth popping in to! Freshly made burgers, sandwiches etc. being freshly made, it takes time. For those in a hurry there is a hot food cabinet with chicken, chips etc ready to go. Nice coffee...available as well!More
Had to wait a while because there was a queue up. but really worth the wait. So good the first time was the Barramundi that we went bacak the 2nd night and had Western Australian Salmon. Just delicious. all served on a plate with yummy...salad. Highly recommend.More
