This was our fourth visit here over the years. Last night was a treat before going home tomorrow but treat in the sense of a great place to be rather than expense. In comparison with England, our bill was so reasonable including two bottles of wine, one starter, two main courses and one pud. We had to take the bottles home with us! The venue is an old radio station, beautifully decorated inside with lovely staff. The maitre d’ has been there for ever. And recognised us from earlier visits in the past to this lovely island. It is situated right by Pico dos Barcelos, high up overlooking Funchal, which looks particularly beautiful once it’s dark and the lights come on. Me u to die for, particularly the sizzling beef for two, highly recommended and the little bacalau cakes, which we have had real difficulty in finding this visit. Normally found in Santa Cruz cafe on the front but not this year.

You will not be disappointed by a visit to Quinta Estaçao. We went on a Wednesday or Thursday afternoon at about noon so we didn't really need reservations. It's a big restaurant and we were able to get nice seating outdoors. We had the grilled meats and several sides including polenta frita (BR) or milho frito in PT. We will definitely return as there are more dishes we hope to try.

I honestly give 3 stars for a reason, whoever sees the building from the outside, the garage, the quality of the accesses, the imposing reception and the friendliness and care with the service, wait and raise the bar for what you are going to eat... .but actually, the food is the weakest link in this whole structure, not because it is bad, it isn't, it's just normal, it's not up to par with everything else that surrounds us, namely its prices. If I could give an advice to the owner or manager, in a very constructive way I would say, focus on offering customers two levels higher in terms of quality, because more than going to the 5th Station to see the shelves and counters, people go to eat and expect to be surprised positively.

Hello! We would like to thank you for your important and complete comment as appreciation to our service. Effectively what you mentioned is a subject that was already being studied and was effectively greatly improved. In a first way by improving the quality of the meat we have as are the example of the Black Angus, Premium Picanha from New Zealand, T-Bone or Tomahawk. To further overcome the expectations all our grills are made with acacia firewood in order to enhance all flavors and further enrich the experience to our customer. We have also improved a lot of other aspects that we leave as a curiosity if you have the opportunity to visit us soon. Thank you very much.

I chose Quinta Estação as the venue for my Wedding/Baptism party 21/10/23.
We had our food/party in Sala Verão, and it has the most stunning view, our food was served as a buffet and it was absolutely delicious! everyone raved about the food, I even requested if by chance soup could be served for the kids (off menu) and they were able to accommodate that request very easily, the service was outstanding as well, the waiters were constantly topping up drinks, attentive & friendly.
Due to the weather we actually arrived an hour earlier than what we had booked originally, so we sat downs stairs having drinks and again everyone was absolutely fabulous, and there was no issue at all with all us in the restaurant drinking and burning a bit of time.
I would 100% recommend Quinta Estação to anyone that is looking to book one of their event rooms, you will not be disappointed! I am sooo happy that I chose this place for my Wedding/Baptism party! Thank you for all your hard work!

We were friendly greeted, seated and served by a professional waiter. We enjoyed this restaurant very much. The quality of the meat was very good, we cooked our picanha the way we liked it on the hot stove. Prices are really cheap for the type of a restaurant that it is. Very nice location with sea view from above.

Delicious steak for two which came sliced on a very hot stone so you can cook it exactly how you like it. Service very good, value for money and a lovely atmosphere with lots of big family groups enjoying themselves too. This is our second visit and we’ll gladly be going again on next years holiday to this lovely island.

Just no. Don’t do it. So many other good choices. We are very disappointed. This was our first bad meal in Madeira. Our waitress was nice (thus the 2 stars). The food was awful. The filet skewer (recommended medium) was extra well done and so overly salted. The veggies and sweet potatoes were also not fresh. Just yuck. There is a daycare attached to this restaurant which was shocking because it seemed like a fine dining experience from the reviews. There was a little girl on a scooter zipping through the restaurant the entire time we were there. I’ve actually never seen anything this 🤯

We visited here after catching a bus up to pico dos barcelos. We had originally thought about grabbing a snack somewhere but when we saw the menu and views here we decided to have a late lunch. We shared limpets and garlic bread to start...delicious but the real winners of the day were the mains. I had the octopus which is the best I have eaten and o/h had the Filet mignon with bacon which he said was amazing. The ambience and views are brilliant and we shall definitely be back.

FANTASTIC local restaurant, next to Pico Barcelos miradouro -- DON'T MISS!! Full of locals, you know this is the real deal. We had lunch here and immediately, the warm, attentive service is the start of a great lunch experience. The food, atmosphere, service, view, FOOD ! and drinks -- all outstanding. Traditional Portuguese food and amazing desserts. Will be on our regular visit list.

The setting, atmosphere and service were all fantastic. A wide selection of meals and all were tasty. Would recommend the bolo de caco, sweet potatoes, bkack beans and house sizzlers. The wine selection was good too.

Lovely time in great restaurant . Amazing atmosphere , old radio station developed so elegant and classy restaurant that I really can’t believe .All food was amazing , so tasty New Zealand beef , fish best I eat on the island . All sides also very tasty . So 5/5 is not really enough to say it’s great place . Staff very kind , helpful and professional . We booked it with advance and recommended to do that especially in the evenings . Highly recommended for Madeiras tourists , surely we will back there again

We had dinner twice in this fancy restaurant, which we chose because far from the very touristic restaurants of central Funchal. We had a fish dinner the first time and a meat dinner the second, both were superb. Portions huge, very professional and kind personnel. Second time a wedding was taking place but this didn’t affect at all the waiting time.
Very good relation between quality and price.
Very nice view.

Great experience of hospitality and service. Some of the party were delayed in arriving. This dint created a problem to the team at the restaurant. The beef used in the espetada was excellent. I have uploaded a few photos of the evening for reference.

It was our first time in this restaurant, and we went per family recommendation. The place is beautiful, the staff is kind and polite and the food was incredible. Also, the sangria was one the best we ever tasted! Amazing! 🥂
