Venda Velha intends to implement a business concept that aims to recreate a commercial and social environment from the beginning of the 20th century. The "sale" that included a "tasca" component was a regular meeting place of the population as an alternative to Sunday church church meetings. The "sales" were windows on the outside world and the media, where news of the absentees was received, where one could read the mail and the newspaper, where messages were left, and all this fed the local "bilhardice" daily.
