We found this delightful cafe near the square in Cascais. The Portuguese custard tart is just exceptional with probably the best pastry I have had ever. Highly recomended.

Spent a weekday afternoon in this lovely square with coffees, pastry and beer. Very relaxing and not very expensive. While the pastry was not the best, it was certainly worthwhile stopping here.

We only wanted a small bite to eat as we wandered the seaside town of Cascais. The “Bijou” Café/Patisserie had exactly day we wanted. The ranged of pastries here is excellent but we opted to share a Spinach and Mushroom Empanada.

During my 3 months in Portugal I visited a lot of bakeries and pastry shops and Bijou was by far my favourite... Sadly, I only discovered it on the 2nd visit to Cascais (I was only there twice)... but when I go back to Portugal...More

This is a wonderful place to have a pastry and coffee just how you like it. Everything is fresh and there is a huge variety from which to choose.
