Best Branzino Meal Ever!!!

We have dined at hundreds of Italian restaurants all over the world and our meal at Bindella was in the top three of all time. My husband and I had Branzino and Sole and shared the salmon appetizer and a salad and they were all amazing. They were very accommodating with my husband's allergies and the service was top notch and the restaurant for a rainy, winter Zurich evening was bustling!!

Dear Shirley G, That is such a wonderful comment and review. For more than 30 years, we have been serving classic Italian-Venetian cuisine, and it always makes us proud to hear a customer rank us in their top three of the best Italian restaurants, worldwide. The whole team at Ristorante Bindella was delighted you had such an enjoyable meal with us. Of course, the Filetto di branzino alla griglia (Grilled sea bass fillet) and the Sogliola al burro di limone (Roasted sole with lemon butter) is a splendid choice and a popular one with our customers. We are open daily and are well known and, and as you witnessed, very popular and so reservations are recommended (We will, of course, make every effort to seat you should you arrive without). Delicious Italian Food with Swiss Influence

Treat yourself to a relaxed evening of excellent food and service at Bindella. The staff are engaging while being professional and attentive. Reservations are a must! Classical dishes range from veal scallopini to grilled prawns. The wine list is local and extensive, and the setting is lovely. Even when the restaurant is full, you can have a thoughtful conversation. This was our 3rd visit in as many years and the quality remains very high. Enjoy!

One of our favorite dining spots in Zurich

Bindella provides a taste of Italy in a Swiss setting with excellent seafood, pasta and meats. The chefs provide consistently excellent food, presented beautifully and done to perfection. We make a point of dining here each time we visit Zurich. The serving staff are international, charming and professional. We urge you to get reservations at this popular destination well ahead of time to avoid the disappointment of being turned away. Oh, and the wine list provides a delightful choice of local and Italian wines to accompany your meal. Cheers!

Good food, slooow service

We had a reservation and were promptly seated outside in front of the restaurant as requested. There were several waiters working but it took 20 minutes before we were handed menus. The slow service continued throughout the entire meal. Our waiter had a gift of not looking at us or our table. A couple of his other tables experienced the same treatment. So while the food was good but not exceptional, the service will keep us from returning.

Beautiful Bindella

My family and I had the pleasure of recently dining at Bindella. The experience was outstanding. My son ordered the lamb. It was so tender, you could cut it with a fork. My wife ordered chicken, which was also well prepared. My other son and I ordered the filet. It was grilled, then placed in a dish of olive oil, rosemary and thyme. It was unbelievably good. This was the best meal I had in not only Zürich, but Europe during this trip. Our server was really cool, too.

Amazing Italian food

We have been to Bindella before and always come back for the spaghetti con vongole. It is an amazing restaurant with very good food that we are always happy to visit when we come to Zurich. The lady who was our waitress for the evening was very friendly and attentive. We ate the most incredible prosciutto which was cut in front of us on a very cool machine and the our three children were catered to immaculately. Nothing was too much trouble! We would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly!

Delicious cuisine and excellent service in Zurich

Bindella provides a cozy, traditional atmosphere with excellent service and delicious cuisine every time. When we pass through Zurich on our way to Zermatt for winter sports, we make a point of dining here. Over the years the staff have maintained professional, engaging and efficient service. And the seafood is incredibly fresh even in the dead of winter. Enjoy a local wine as a compliment to the meal, and trust your server to recommend one.

Women are people too

The food was actually fantastic, but the service was so unwelcoming, I didn’t even want to stay for dessert. I would not recommend as a solo traveler. I was treated as a second class citizen as a woman on her own while the waiter refused to even glance in my direction, he was smiling and laughing with other tables. It was really disheartening and I could not get out of there fast enough. Additionally, they charge for TAP WATER. Would not recommend for women traveling solo but perhaps if you are with a man and worthy of speaking to, then it’s a good place to visit.

Would have given a five but Mgr unfortunately let’s his side down badly with a frosty welcome and pretty obvious display of preference to local clientele over the ‘visitors’. Otherwise perfectly nice friendly service from the waitress and to eat - a rather delicious Spaghetti Vongole followed by some very decent fresh Black Truffle Rissoto. Word of advice to the owners/management : let the Mgr freshen up his hospitality expertise.

Excellent service and an excellent meal

An excellent dinner and superb service. The lamb chops were very tender for one who measures them against those from his home country of New Zealand. With an extra side of vegetables added and a very generous serving they were a great meal as was my wife's choice of the prawn dish. Desert also memorable. The waiter provided a particularly high standard of friendly, efficient service. Well done.

Excellent Italian food in Zurich

We went with the family to celebrate my birthday as part of our Swiss trip. We made a reservation few week before, I recommend you reserve a place especially on Sunday when many restaurants are closed. It is located in the old town very close to the river, it was 2 min from our hotel so was very convenient. We sat outside as weather i the evening was very pleasant. Service was great, food was excellent. We had few starters and main courses and deserts with wine. We started with Mozzarella and tomatoes and a salad. for main course we had a Steak, Spaghetti with tomato sauce, Spaghetti with Crab sauce , Fish Fillet, spaghetti Bolognese and for desert we took, of course, Tiramisu, Chocolate mousse and Creme Brule. Everything was delicious. The Restaurant is highly recommended for Italian food lovers.

Way too expensive for the quality. The food tasted good, but simple spaghetti quickly cost 37 euros and the cheapest bottle of wine 60 euros. And a bottle of water 12 euros.

Everything was just perfect and amazing! Must visit for Italian food in Zürich

Serves Venetian cuisine. The restaurant is in the old town on the Bahnhofstrasse side, is popular, and the quality of the dishes are amazing. There is pasta, fish and meat and a wide selection of Italian wines. Its very picturesque location in the old town with beautiful surroundings, and we got a table out side in the beautiful warm evening. Our waitor was so friendly and nice, joking with us and also telling stories about the food, the restaurants, etc.. Excellent service! The menu is exentsive and many good dishes to chose from and I opted for the Tuna Carpaccio, which was so thinly sliced it was hard to get up from the plate. It was just amazing with a lot of flavor and so good. For main I took the Linguine alla veneziana; Linguine with scampi, king prawns, dried tomatoes and olives, which was a big serving and packed with scampi and two big king prawns and full of flavor and taste. The Linguine was perfectly al dente cooked. After such a dinner we were to full to have a dessert, which was an extensive dessert menu, but I took one scoope of blood orange sorbet, and it was perfect and exactly what was needed to end this perfect dinner. My friends parantes is from Zürich and he has been here since he was a child, and he said it was the best Italian dinner he has had out side of Italy. Will deffinatly come back

We had a nice lunch at this very popular Italian restaurant. Service was extremely efficient - we probably waited 5 minutes for our food. Octopus was very tender. The spaghetti bolognese could have had more flavour. Salad was good. Will be back.

A lovely dining experience

Within the old town just a short walk from Bahnhofstrasse, we loved his busy local, atmospheric, restaurant complete with beautifully ornate interior. We enjoyed glasses of Chardonnay and Trentino wine, along with sharing a plate of Buffalo cheese with tomatoes for an appetizer. For entrees I had the most delicious sole in butter sauce that I have ever eaten and my husband enjoyed the shrimp with chilies. We finished the whole lovely dinner experience with two glasses of lemoncello. Thanks to our server, Jessica for helping to provide us with such an enjoyable dining experience.
