I came here last month to eat with my girlfriend. The atmosphere is great, the access easy (with free parking) and the staff is very friendly without being pushy. The two things we did not like was the fact that the food - although delicious - is on the very pricy side (we had pasta for 35.- CHF a plate) while the size of the plate is rather small. Since the two of us are sport enthusiasts with a great interest in big portions we were a bit disappointed.

Great dinner

We had an abolutely great dinner here. The service was friendly, attentive and gave us excellent choices and advices. The wine was super and the food top-notch. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves great Italian food, great service and loves wines... I will be back 👍

What I loved about the place is that the owners receive your coat and also bring dishes to the table!. It gave me so much pleasure to enter such a neat and clean restroom in my entire trip to Europe. To drink I ordered a soda and my friends a glass of different red wine. To share, in the center prosciutto with mozzarella (amazing and really creamy), courtesy from the restaurant, meats and crostinis (really yummy), Main dishes Cappelletti “Angela” in my personal opinion they needed a sauce (they were very dry), ravioli e tortelli al pomodoro fresco a little rough around the edges (ok), scaloppine (perfect cooking) and ossobuco (amazing). Approximate price in shared account with 4 pax, $280 chf, equal as $5,500 mexican pesos (service, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included).

Outsanding dinner experience

I visited Da Angela several times in the past 18 months and it was always a great experience. The host greets you personally, the service staff are super friendly and also well trained when it comes to the menu or wine choices. Their positive attitude and Italian heritage makes this a genuinely pleasant experience. The food is always exquisite and you always leave the establishment well looked after!

Superb Italian

A bit off the beaten path this is a very good genuine Italian restaurant in a very pretty minimalist setting. The owners and staff immediately make their guests feel welcome with friendly professionality. The fresh traditional Italian food and wine are top notch. Highly recommended if you accept to venture a bit outside Zurich’s Centre.

delicious food, bad service

The food is so good that it makes you forget how bad the service is. 30 minutes to receive menus. Another 10 minutes for a bottle of wine, the food took over an hour. Always something missing at the table. But really the food is so damn good. I just hope they get new waiters.

Best (Italian) restaurant we have tried in Zurich. We had a very good dinner in the garden, the atmosphere was relaxing and the food, wine and service was excellent. It's difficult to point out which dish was the best (since they were all superb) but don't miss out on the Vitello tonnato, Cappelletti Angela and the Tiramisu. The next day I noticed a minor mistake in the receipt and it was corrected by the restaurant in a couple of minutes - super! We will for sure come back.

Once again we are delighted. The friendly and courteous service from the team of Anja Pagani and Mike Thomi, but also the authentic yet creative Italian cuisine. Of course, the dishes with Alba truffles are currently worth mentioning. My favorite: beef tartare with truffles. We look forward to our next visit.

Good food, friendly service, but at a high price level

Well-booked restaurant in Zurich Altstetten. The quality is good, the staff are competent and friendly. The food was well prepared and tasted good, but I found the prices for lunch to be overpriced, even by Zurich standards. What a pity.

We visited DaAngela in the evening with friends. The restaurant was very well booked even during the week. Despite this, there was a wonderful atmosphere and everyone was in a good mood, and the service staff in particular were first class! We were looked after, advised and served wonderfully. From the aperitif to the last delicious espresso. Grazie mille also to the kitchen brigade, the plates were all beautifully presented and tasted excellent! We will definitely be back. P.S. Such an ambience with first class service and good cuisine is not so easy to find these days...

Wonderful place, very good service, fine restaurant, excellent food. I loved everything. There is parking, we arrived without a reservation and the house was quite full, but they quickly found a table. It was amazing
