Ooh-la-la wunderba! Had lunch today and the avocado 🥑 bacon 🥓 and chicken 🐔 ciabatta is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Nice coffee too. Staff are super friendly and helpful 👌 It's a quirky unique place, the atmosphere is pretty cool with...the music played in the background. I'm thinking of reasons for the 20-minutes drive to excuse my next visit. The only bad thing is the distance from my house, that's it! I'm a new regular in the making - fantastic experience today!More

Waited ages for our food, never brought milk for the coffee, waited another 5 mins for the milk. Seating outside is dreadfully needing upgraded, the table we were sitting at had a broken leg, the outside space covered in weeds.

Lovely little cafe just off the A90 Perth to Dundee road. Lovely food and generous portions. Good selection of cakes. Good and friendly service. I was lucky enough to be able to sit outside.

First visit, staff excellent and food of high quality. Simple soup and sandwich menu with tray bake cakes. Only minor criticism is hot drinks coming too early prior to food. Worth a visit.

Stopped in here after seeing a sign for the coffee shop up ahead and so glad we did! It was later in the day so opted for just coffees and cakes! I had the apple cake with cream and my partner had a apple and...cinnamon scone which were both delicious, as well as our coffees. Service was wonderful and very friendly. Looking forward to making this our regular pit stop up to Aberdeen.More

Return visit . We even drove out of our way to get to this place. We were later in the day but couldn't find when they closed so thought we would chance it. On arrival shown to our seat...... shortly asked what we would like...but we hadn't had a menu.? We promptly ordered. The chap who took our order appeared to be thinking of other things. Pot of tea for 2 = 2 teapots of tea and one milk apparently. We waited 30 mins on them cooking our food all the time listening to chatter in the kitchen which sounded chaos. We were only one of 2 tables. Food came after a lengthy wait. Food look warm and my sandwich had normal mayo not Chipotle. No explanations. On paying the bill I mentioned that the sandwich wasn't what I expected to which the reply was oh I didn't have any Chipotle left? Such a shame they were to preoccupied with each other to notice customers waiting around.More

Terrible service, we waited 15 minutes for a coffee, a tea and a slice of cake. The waitress brought it over, no milk or sugar brought with the drinks. We were sitting outside, I had to go in and ask for milk, said she would...bring it out, waited for 5 minutes, had to go in and get the milk myself. The surrounding area was full of weeds, litter and very run dow.n. The table we were sitting at was broken and propped against the fencing so it wouldn’t fall over, all of the outside furniture could do with being cleaned and painted. To top it all, one of the restrooms was out of order and the other one did not have a lid on the cistern so the toilet couldn’t be flushed.More

Travelling north on the A9, we saw a small sign to a cafe at next exit and decided on impulse to turn off. The staff were charming, the menu offered a good selection and the coffee was very good. We had a brie, prosciutto and...pineapple baguette which was delicious and an excellent ham salad sandwich , really fresh and tasty. Will pull over there again having made this lucky find.More

A very quick stop with my 6yr old daughter for a panini and THE best apple cake (by a country mile of anywhere else nearby)! All freshly bake / prepared - super friendly staff, always a warm welcome and a nice ‘buzz’ signalling a rightly...popular cafe. Sitting in or take-away, well worth a visit.More

After a morning in Perth, we stopped at the Chestnut Tree for a light lunch. On entering, we were given menus and sat at one of the vacant tables. A friendly, polite member of staff came over to take our order. Soup of the day...was mushroom, so we decided on that along with Cheese & Pickle, and Ham sandwiches. They came very quickly, the soup was hot and very tasty and the sandwiches were excellent. Accompanying these we had Irn Bru's. As we were paying the bill, we saw their delicious cakes, so decided on a Chocolate Sponge to take away. We were hoping to take it home, but as it was warm and the chocolate was starting to melt, we ate it straight away in the car. It's a pity they don't have boxes for take-away cakes even if there was a small charge.More

Quaint little coffee shop that has a few outdoor tables. Stopped on our way from Edinburgh to Glamis. Coffee (Americano) was smooth and crisp. Apple, Brie, prosciutto panini was very fresh and good! Our waitress was a sweetheart. Establishment was clean.

This is a lovely little place which normally has soup available and homemade cakes and scones. The service is always very pleasant and efficient, never having to wait too long. There is a nice seating area outside with plenty of tables, and ample car parking...space. We always make a point of visiting here when we're in the area as the food ambience and service is always excellent.More

Super friendly and helpful staff. Lovely coffee and cakes. A great little place to relax and recharge on the main road from Perth to Dundee. Loads of free parking (some on the side road). Table outside to get the fresh air which beats covid!

Stopped today with a large group of cyclists and we were all served remarkably quickly. I have had my share of bacon rolls over the years and this one was up there with the best of them. The cafe has a well earned reputation for...good customer service and this was obvious today. The owner kindly gave us all a sample of her millionaire shortbread which was delicious too. Very good attention to safety protocols. All in all a first class experience. Can't wait to go back.More

The owners and the servants are very friendly and helpful. If the dog does not frighten other guest there, I could not think of a problem in this place. Also there are tables outside, where a dog might feel much more... More
