Don’t go here!!! The food is very standard, if not bad. The staff weren’t very friendly and they took ages to serve course and bring the bill to us.

Avoid this place at all costs. We had a long wait for our main courses - when they did finally turn up, one was wrong and we had a further 10-15 minute wait for the correct main to arrive (the waiters were dishonest and tried...to fool us three times that a meal looking like a MacDonalds hash browns and fries was in fact a €14 meat dish before admitting the mistake). The quality of the food resembled items from a supermarket freezer - the service staff didn't seem interested when we politely said that we weren't happy. We also weren't offered anything (including a meaningful apology) for the mistake with our order and found the service staff rude and disinterested. Clearly a tourist trap which gets away with inadequate service because of its main patrons being visitors passing through.More
The menu outside is not the same as inside but ordered lasagne anyway which came cold. When I informed the waiter he walked away unconcerned before coming back to take it away and reheat it rather than serving a fresh one. The waiter went behind...a curtain and produced a brown paper bag which he stuck on the table, this was stale bread that he couldn't be bothered to put in a basket. When we finished the meal he put the bag of bread back behind the the curtain and refilled it and gave it to the couple who sat down behind us. Disgusting!More
My husband and I came here on our first night in Verona as the menu and prices looked good and it was one of the busiest restaurants in a long choice of restaurants. We started with spaghetti cacio e Pepe and ravioli (when I ordered...Tortellino) and they were very nice. However the mains were nothing to write home about. I had the crumbed chicken cutlets that tasted like KFC and my husband had the salmon which was so salty he couldn’t even finish it and that’s not like him at all. When the waiter asked about our meal my husband was nicely honest. The waiter took our plates then came back and asked if my husband had added salt to the meal as the chef and the waiter had both tasted it and found it too salty too. It felt like they didn’t believe us. And the salmon also had the life cooked out of it. Our bill wasn’t even deducted and we weren’t offered anything to compensate for the poor meal. I suppose from reading other reviews you take your chance going here.More
A small group of us stopped for refreshments at this café on a very hot Verona day. The service was speedy and friendly, even the owner came to chat with us. Nothing was too much trouble! He was delightful. The drinks were lovely, with a...little snack provided too. And a very reasonable cost for being in a perfect location. Situated right on Piazza delle erbe, in the middle of all the action and beautiful architecture. And a perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by. And close by to all the sights, and the hubbub of the market right in front of you. Will definitely return.. thank you for a lovely visit! :)More
Went on lunch with my gf. I had a curry, chicken, rice dish and it was great. The terrace was ok, staff helpful but still slightly reserved. Price reasonable.
Stopped for lunch as the pizza menu looked good however on being seated they brought the a la carte menu but no pizza to be seen! I got up and looked at the menu outside and they realised and brought us the pizza menu. We...had the ‘Estate’ pizza and it was fresh with fresh tomatoes, basil and shavings of Parmesan on top the pizza base and sauce. Very good. A couple of glasses each of Valpolicelo and it was good. Nicely situated to watch people wandering about.More
The service was just terrible, we waited more than half an hour to order our drinks even though the waitresses saw us sitting down. Very rude, too. Many customers left without ordering because they got tired of waiting. Food was okay but nothing special. The...Location is very pleasant though.More
Worst place in Verona I'm sure. The bolognese like a soup pizza like mirelite we found some bug in our drink...
Food and wine delicious - had a caprese (so fresh) and white wine. Service appalling. Despite much waving and even catching the eye of a waiter was totally ignored once meal served. Will continue my meal elsewhere!
If you find yourself at the Piazza Elbe then you will not be short of choice of restaurants. We picked Bloom after seeing the food being served whilst having a drink next door. The menu is bursting with Italian favourites. We took the bruschetta and...the octopus salad for starter. Both were fabulous and the servings are generous. For main course my wife had the sea food pasta (bursting with clams) whilst I had macaroni in tomato and basil sauce. The service was very attentive and most helpful. Made us feel very welcome (not often the case when you are eating in the heart of a wonderful square bursting with tourists). Highly recommended.More
Actually the best place in Piazza delle Erbe for a drink. Cheaper than most places (at least when I compared the price for an Aperol spritz) and you get quite a lot of snacks. Plus you can use the free wi-fi for Verona here.
Great location. We relaxed in the sun and sipped on spritz and prosecco. The staff are friendly and speak English.
My husband and I visited Verona on the last day of our break before heading to the air port. We stumbled across this cafe by accident because we were looking for a cash point. It was a beautiful sunny day, and Piazza Della Erne was...a welcome and extremely picturesque find at the end of the shopping street. The buildings around the square must be some of the oldest in Verona, with remnants of old pictures painted on the outside of the building. My husband and I stopped at Bloom because it was the only cafe left with a wheel chair accessible table. We had a Caffe Latte and a lovely fresh pasta ravioli dish with ricotta cheese, mint and lemon juice. It was cooked to perfection. Just the right size for a light lunch. Far better than anything we'd manage to order in Venice. We thought we were to be really unlucky with Italian Restaurants until we found this place. The waitress was efficient and friendly and really helpful. We were really glad we stopped here. Would definitely recommend this dish. The whole bill was €38More
Our waiter was a pleasant young man. We let them know we only had 40 minutes to get our food and eat. They said no problem. After several times checking, we finally got our food when we had to leave. Explaining several times prior and...post situation, the owner got irate and very angry and told us to leave. There is no need to ever patronize this place. Enjoy one of the many other cafes on the plaza or just get some fresh fruit. I have never seen an owner / manager become so belligerent as this gentleman. It is a tourist trap and there is no need to patronize them. Buy the way they made us pay for the full bill and then the manager and he bartender told u the get out. In all my years of enjoying restaurants I have never witnessed such hostility and inappropriate behavior especially since the situation did not merit this level of rage on the behalf of the managers and employees. As a traveler beholden to the schedule of the tour group's time constraints, the schedule is not in my control. Unfortunately the city of Verona will always leave a bitter taste in my mouth as will The Bloom Good and Caffe.More
