Came here just to try a Tiramisu before heading home to the UK. The staff could have been nicer and happier, but they were nice enough. The tiramisu was amazing, chocolate on top was best I’ve ever had, the view is nice too :)

Beautiful food in a stunning location. The waiter’s were very attentive and helpful in menu choices and recommendations, The restaurant was busy on the three evenings we visited, but the short wait was worth it,
I stopped by Caffe Filippini for lunch one day. I ordered a pear juice, which came quite quickly, and spaghetti carbonara. After ordering I was brought some bread, which was a bit dry, and I had to ask for butter. Then I waited half an...hour for my carbonara, which is quite a quick meal to make. The meal itself was ok - I’ve had better carbonaras but it was nice enough. I wasn’t offered any parmesan or black pepper though. As I’d finished my juice (the bottles are very small) I asked for a glass of tap water, but was told they don’t have it. Well, they obviously do, it’s in the tap! What they want is for you to pay for a bottle of water, which is a bit unfair, especially since I’d already had one drink. I was then left with a heavy glass bottle half full of water to lug around. This place is in a nice location, staff were friendly enough and the food was ok. But several things have caused me to knock a few points off.More
Absolutely delicious food in a beautiful location! We had the lasagna and carbonara and it was all delicious. Also had fantastic Amarone wine. So beautiful to sit at a candlelit table looking out onto the square and enjoying wonderful food. This place is what Italy...is all about!!More
We were genuinely surprised by the food and the service at this restaurant on one of the most beautiful squares in the world. First of all, the staff went out of their way to get us a table. The food was classic Veneto and of...good quality. Our server was new, and had the manager watching him all the time. He did a great job despite his nerves. We had a great evening all in all.More
Great place for breakfast and evening drinks. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Absolutely the best meal we had in Verona.Perfect service and a good range menu. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered.and desserts to die for!
Some meals were good- some were unedible. The fillet amerone had some wierd cold jelly/slime like substance on top of the meat. It was really not worth €25. The starter of aubergine parmigiana was good. Overall not the best experience.
I had a tough chop - and they did not charge ! They did not have to as it was a tourist place and I was not a local so probably wouldn’t be back again
Attentive staff and great location at the outdoor market , overlooking the fountain. Nice drinks at a reasonable price, would highly recommend
Food wasn't great, staff were extremely rude. Our only bad review during our visit to Verona. Such a shame. Avoid!
As always when I visit Verona I also stop at Filippini. It is just an experience, great food/drinks and you almost feel like a moviestar. This time we went for dinner, Friday 29 October, it was very very crowded but we found a table in...the back outside and ordered the lamb. Not a particular tender lamb but very chewy! I never ever had a bad diner here. Shocked. The vegetables and baked potatoes were good and the wonderful Valpolicella too. But the lamb tasted like an old and dry sheep. The small rolls served in a basket were cold and old but with some olive oil ok. The staff seemed a bit overworked and tired/ exhausted even, the next day and the day after(one man in particular; he almost threw the menu’s for breakfast on our table walked away and could only say that there were no brioches (at 11.30 am). His colleague did came back fortunately and offered us some delicious alternatives. A sort of cookie/cake filled with semi sweet rice and a sweet brioche. Nice! I was used that they (the cute older guys) were always very polite and friendly at Filippini; making time for a little chat and recommending some special food or drinks. When ordering coffee they would serve those fantastic little fresh Italian biscuits, that was all over, just (delicious) coffee with awful and tasteless prepackaged biscuits. Maybe too many demanding tourists for just a few waiters, I don’t know, or the very late opening times. Please please get back to your normal standard Filippini!! I miss it.More
I have eaten here before and it is usually lovely. Unfortunately today I had the misfortune of having a hair in my starter. They did give me a replacement plate although it was still disappointed.
The place has incredible food, reasonable prices, and very friendly and professional service. The mussels were amazing. I will return anytime I am in Verona and I recommend this place to anyone.
Very good food and amazing service in the heart of Verone. We enjoyed very nice atmosphere of the restaurant, professional and friendly service. Was very good choice in the menu and we enjoyed our meals, seafood pasta and octopus. Highly recommended.
