Beautiful evening with my husband. I highly recommend the innovative beef tartare with mustard ice cream and coleslaw. The Rossini filet was excellent and the aubergine parmigiana melts in your mouth.

What a wonderful place and super location. The best food , wine and service you can get in Verona. We will come back very soon .?
My husband and I ate at Maffei on Saturday 24th February. The staff were polite, friendly and the service was timely - in fact we didn't have a finished plate in front of us for more than 2 mins. Very attentive. The food was also...top tier. My only suggestion of improvement is the WCs - for a Michelin starred restaurant, these were sub-par and you could tell they were not included in the refurbishment works for the rest of the building.More
Absolutely beautiful food and atmosphere the restaurant is amazing and service impressive the wine excellent
Ran the Romeo and Giulietta half and decided to celebrate here. Delicious food, excellent staff and service, beautiful place to spend time with loved ones.
Throughly enjoyed my visit, food and staff were fantastic and a reasonable price point. Would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others!
You should visit this Maffei Restaurant in Piazza de la Erbe. This is the best restaurant in Verona! 😊 The restaurant design and layout is very elegant and impressive. The service are very helpful and friendly. The food is very delicious and tasty 😋 with...high quality. Big compliments to the chefs in the kitchen 😍. You should order Tiramisu for the dessert .. we are very happy and will be back again to this nice restaurant 🥰More
Overall a delightful dining experience and a brilliant meat tasting menu. The highlight with a tour of ruins by the waiter under the restaurant, truely an experience.
Maffei Restaurant left much to be desired. The experience was marred by slow service and inexperienced staff. Both starters and main courses fell below expectations, lacking in flavor and finesse. Overall, an average dining experience that failed to impress.
We had a very pleasant diner, with a wonderful filet Rossini as main dish (excellent) paired with a recommended Amarone della Valpolicella and a quite reasonable price. Strongly recommend it
Elegant atmosphere, attentive staff, innovative menu and central location. One of the best meals I had on my most recent trip to Italy.
This place is tucked away within a courtyard which add to the overall experience of this amazing restaurant. We were there for a business dinner for 25 guests and the food and service was outstanding. The atmosphere was elegant and not in a stuffy way....We had the risotto and steak and both were made to perfection. A very memorable evening!More
We visit Maffei every year whilst in Verona for a trade show. It is our favourite restaurant, and the highlight of our trip. The food is exceptional and the courtyard is private and elegant. This year we felt slightly rushed, which was unusual, there seemed...to be a number of large groups brought in one after the other by someone who seemed to be a guide, and this may have been the reason we didn't feel the individual attention that has been evident in the past. The Courtyard area has also been limited due to the opening of a museum, which made it slightly more cramped than before. Having said all that, it was still excellent and the best Tiramisu in Verona and I would highly recommend.More
My adult daughters and I traveled to Verona last month (September 2023), and I made it a point to make a reservation at Maffei Restaurante. In 2011, my sisters, my father and I shared an enchanting experience at Maffei Restaurante - so memorable that I...made notes. Our waiter that evening in 2011 was Matteo Dolcol. At the suggestion of the personable and gracious owner Lucca, Matteo took us on a tour of the underground wine cellar and then futher down to the ancient Roman ruins below. Fast forward to 2023, and the opportunity to experience the delicious food and hospitality of this very special restaurant once again. My daughters and I were not disappointed! Although Matteo was no longer working at Maffei, Lucca was present and as engaging and kind as we remembered him. We savored the fish-based tasting menu while enjoying the excellent service of our waiter Michele. We ended our lovely evening descending into the wine cellar and the ruins. Fantastic experience once again!More
Everything about this meal was superb. We ordered the chef's tasting menu from the sea and loved the blend of flavors, textures, presentation and service. We highly recommend.
